What about there frame is so much heavier duty? I have looked and Im not seeing it. Maybe that pic isn't really showing it. Is that the rear diff that the hitch is attached to?

The hitch receiver is welded directly to the frame. Pretty much everything, except the obvious, is attached to the frame instead of just bolted onto another component. The frame is heavy gauge square tubing, with a lot of reinforcements and a steel skidplate welded on. It's very solid. Also quite heavy which is one reason some people don't like them. But you can't have "heavy duty" without "heavy weight", unless they make one from titanium or carbon fiber. Only millionaires could afford anything like that.

The catalog pictures usually don't show much detail on any ATVs. The only way to see the differences in any two brands frame is to see them in person. Don't be afraid to get on the floor and stick your head under them. I've looked under several brands and the difference in some is amazing. Some things like the size of hubs and driveshafts are plain to see in side by side pictures, but most of those are the comparisons they show at the dealers.

As for the original question about good torque, lots of different quads have it. Some use it to do wheelies and go quick, and some use it to plow and tow heavy loads. Torque by itself, like horsepower alone, is usless. I always tell people to buy any ATV that will do what you want it to do. My Sportman 500s fit the bill for me. If they could just make it theft-proof I'd be a happy camper.

How are you getting 18" of GC with that combination, Tancat? It should be more like 16-1/4". Are you measuring from the lowest point?
