Opinion and Help

Sorta... I think you would find it would go most places, depending on the conditions. The GF's parents started out with one 2wd, and one 4x4- older yamaha's. The 2wd wouldn't get stuck as often as you would think, and when it did the front end was pretty light to turn it around or whatever.
That being said, when they went to Arizona they borrowed my Foreman to have 2 4x4's. I think they discovered that suspension and other things have vastly improved from when their older machines were made, and now they have a 650 Artic Cat and a 500 Rubicon (both 4x4 of course).
Also I think you mentioned plowing... Unless you are talking about skiffing an inch or two of light snow off, I think you would be better off getting a 4x4, even if you have to put the purchase off for now to save more.

Yeah, I mean a 4x4 would be fantastic, but I am only 16 and have the rest of my life to get one. I think a 2x4 would be a good starter quad. It is a far drive to pick up the one for sale so I really need to know if a 6 ft person could fit on an '04 Ozark. Also, could someone compare an Ozark to a Recon for me? Thanks

As I recall, the engine is pretty much the same as the 250ex sport quad, which I've ridden...
They are known to be reliable, but I don't think you would plow very deep snow with a 250 two wheel drive.
On the other hand, if it is what you can afford, you could probably have a lot of fun out on the trails with one. At 16, you need to be thinking about money for college... preferably enough to have a reliable car and keep the student loans to a minimum.

Yeah I realize that, but I already have money set aside. Ok, one last simple question that I need feedback on: 2004 Suzuki Ozark 250 or 2006 Honda Recon Manual 250??? Slow trail riding and work around the house as uses.
