your hensim with a yamaha engine is just a clone yamaha engine im betting and as far as a belt slipping in water there are plenty of belt drive atv that go through water without problems including mine.
and as far as holding up to abuse any name brand atv with belt drive will hold up better then your hensim.

Can you give us some of the positives and negatives of shaft driven Hondas? I bought an '08 rancher 4x4, and need to know some possible problems with these machines.

If its the ES Rancher, you may eventually have problems with it shifting. It usually is something cheap, just a pain. I own an ES that my wife drives and have not had problems yet, but I know eventually i probably will.
I think the Honda reliability is unmatched, so i don't foresee you having any major issues. Enjoy the new ride.

so i want to sell my hemsin 400 and get something with more power. What quads have a diff lock for the front and or rear? I heard the Polaris' will spin both front tires stock. is that true? Would a Polaris 500 have enough power to spin a set of oversized tires? I want a quad for the sole purpose of mudding. Anyway, hit me back

Yea polaris has front diff lock stock completely automatic no buttons or levers to mess with. I know where you are coming from with your feelings on the wet belt fear. My belt has never been wet but ive seen plenty of them get wet and slip. Not too big a deal to dry out. and hey replacing a weak or burned belt sure is alot cheaper and easyier than fixing a broke trans shaft or gears, watever other quads weak point is.
