I have been out of atving for about 12yrs. Previously I was only Interested in sport machines, Honda ATC 250r, 350X, are what I owned. Now that I have a wife and kids my interests have changed, I would like anyones opinion on a good machine for me. It must be 4x4, able to plow snow, and be sporty enough to be fun on the trails. One other thing , no belt drive autos, I'll stick with the belt on my snowmobile, but not on an atv. thanks in advance.

Honda is the benchmark, the best of the best is the "general" concensus. Check out the new Rancher or Rubicon 4x4's
Also take a good look at the 00 Yamaha Big Bear 4x4 and compare the products and value
-vs- the Honda.
It's your decision to make. Either way, have fun!
Maybe you should get a max6x6 :-)

One word "ArcticCat"
You can get in in a 500 manual, and it will do mare than you want it too,...But its built to be a workhorse,,,no Digital LCD screens (like the Hondas) just all out power and its kinda slow, my top speed with the 27" buggs is just over 50 MPh but that fast enough for me.

you should get a Suzuki LT500R QuadRunner, it is built to be a workhorse... but.... it'll do 90 easily... I can bury the needle in 4 on it...
that's good!
well, just my opion... the only thing that should be different is the FULL-TIME 4-WHEELDRIVE.
If you can't go fast, you aren't going fast enough!
