The Sportsman 500 is a nice quad but to think it is a better bang for the buck is a matter of a riders opinion! All that needs to be said is the fact of which one will be still running at the normal end of a quads life cycle, and I am not taking about the engine! This is the same reason I am not a Harley fan!

You really can.t compare a 35hp 500H.O to a 26hp 450 Grizzly. Reviews of Motorcycle, ATV, Snowmobile and Watercraft vehicles

I know its a older review, but both ATVs did not change much.

im just talking about what you get for the money. much more hp, longer travel suspension, front rack storage box, handlebar mounted light along with the 2 grill mounted etc. also, what about the little stuff.. does the grizzly have a tachometer? steel braided brake lines? all that and it cost $700 more! not to say the grizz doesnt have its strengts, but it isnt worth 700 more then the 500 ho to me

What good is a tach on a CVT ATV. You have no control of the gears and rpm anyways, its just gas and go. Never seen a snow machine with a tach either.

It is good have. When you are in low, or flying, no need to over rev it.

Maybe in low range but in High range you can hold the gas wide open to the bar and not over rev the motor on a ATV or sled with a CVT. Just hold her to the bar and enjoy the ride.
