Default Which is a better Quad?

Hi there, Im new to this site and just looking for some advice...
My engine on my 2003 Kawi Prairie 650 went and I am looking at two different quads to buy. First one is a 2005 Brute Force 750 and the second is a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700. Just wondering what you guys think is the better quads for
working in the bush, plowing, and also just having some fun on? Any feed back would be great.

Any ATV that has both a low range and true AWD will push or pull as good as the next,so they will be equal in terms of doing chores.

In the fun factor, the brute force pushes more power than the Grizzly.

Don't know much about Kawasaki but if you managed to blow up a 2003's motor I would not be to impressed with them.

Polaris 850______69.06 hp
Can Am 800 R____67.05 hp (updated 2/13 to 70.5 hp)
AC 1000_________65.84 hp
Can Am 800______61.7 hp
Can Am 650______55.4 hp
Brute 750 Carb____50.1 hp
Brute 750 EFI_____49.8 hp
King Quad 750____49.6 hp
AC Mud Pro_______49.06 hp
King 700_________48.5 hp
Polaris 800_______48.3 hp
Brute 650 I________46.3 hp
Grizzly 700________45.6 hp

I,m kinda a HP freak so, I would take the Brute 750 ,and hope its a better motor than there 650s.

The Brute does have IRS right? Do both have the same mileage and condition?

Well we were told that it went because of pinning it to much? ... does that sound right, from reving it to much or opening it up wide?

That does not sound like a good reason, we ride with a 660 Grizzly and some times have to go down some long flat boring logging roads and we keep the throttle to the bar for miles at a time with no ill effects.

On this site there is not a whole lot of motor blowing up post, most riding is slower trails were ATVs belong, your 650 may have just been bad luck.

As a general rule, the Grizz is a much more reliable machine. For what you are wanting to do, it would be perfect. The Brute will have more power, but the 700 is no slouch either, and should have more than enough power for your needs... and you shouldn't have to spend your time and money working on it.

Of course, if your dealing with a used quad... the condition it is in, and how it was maintained should be your main consideration.
