Default seeking pros & cons on the 4x4 suzuki 500 & 700

I recently posted this thread under the suzuki heading, and got positive feed back and i thought i would expand the reviews. I'm almost 40 and was planning to purchase either the suzuki 500 or 700 new. I'm looking for any good and bad reviews on these two models to make the right purchase. I still own 85' quadrunner 250, 85' 250 quadracer, 86' 250 quadracer, 88' 500 quadracer and 2004 Z400 and they all had there little glitches like swing arm cracking, frames crack, weak rear axle but i'm sure agressive ridding might of been a factor lol best accomplishment was finishing 1st in 2002 in the harescramble series with an old under powered 85' 250 quadracer, 2 hour race plus i had to pit for gas those 4 strokes sure made me work for that spot. Havent race in a long time but i sure mise the nice sweet smell of mixed race gas at the track an that high pitch 2 stroke power band. Now into hunting moose & deer and slow riding with my 6 year old son on his little quad. Priceless........ thanks again for any feed back...

Well since it seems like you are mechanical then you shouldn't have much of a problem at all seeing that the Suzuki is a pretty reliable bike. Are you sold on Suzuki because there are some other really nice bikes out these days as well

Well I've driven other makes and models, and there all good depending on your taste time to time you get the odd buyer beware of certain things like the weak stock axle on my 2004 Z400,those are easy fix and yeah mine bent on the 2nd time out on the motocross track opps but I knew in advance so I had new one aftermarket on stand by just to see how long the stock would last. But I'm sold mostly on service from dealer good service is worth more then the price tag of the quad sometimes. I tried to order aftermarket parts for my old LT250R quadRacer from other dealer cause I herd ther prices were much better, they were right, but I was told I was wasting my time with this old quad powerless and worthless, they may be right but I'm not racing Pronationals here I am just out there having fun and when I came home with the 1rst place year end plaque, that made me feel even better. Old powerless worthless quad. . . . yeah to me that's success. thanks again for your input greatly appreciated Gaetan of Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada
