Default Power Steering?

In my quest for a "new" (used) machine I have another question... Would you pay 500-1000 extra for power steering? I don't see myself doing much trail riding. Just working around the acreage.

Thank you

Not me. Udders on a bull, imho. I learned to drive when I was 6 years old on a WW2 Dodge WC converted to a farm truck. No power anything. If a 250 lb man (me) needs power steering to steer a 700 lb ATV, I'd better start doing some push ups. If you think your ATV steers poorly, better check the alignment.

My friend who has power steering on his new quad really likes it. When he hits roots and things it doesn't cause a big jolt through the handlebars like mine gets. This guy is strong enough he doesn't need power anything but he says it's worth it.

I have never owned one with power steering but I have ridden a Grizzly 700 with eps and the Yamaha system is very nice. It makes steering very effortless even in 4x4. Its a nice luxury to have. You'd have to ride similar machines with both eps and without it to decide if it makes that much difference and if its worth spending the extra $$$.

I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. I don't need it but like it a lot.

Power steering is closer to a $1000 option if you look at MSRP http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en...2=478294&go=Go

I rode a few with power steering. A atv without it is easy to steer and a ATV with P.S is easier to steer.
I myself would rather use the extra $1000 on a option like Tires, Rims ,Winch or more power. A 500KQ with eps cost almost as much as a 750KQ without it.

Until EPS a $200 option not a $1000 I,m out. plus how does it hold up over the years ,is it just something more to go wrong? Time will tell.
