One of my friends broke the right front headlight off my Xpress 300, and I was wondering which mounted spotlight is the best. My friend has one put on his Big Bear, and it was always breaking off, or not working. Also, would it be better to wire it directly to the battery with an inline fuse, or wire it into the light switch? The inline fuse setup, I would mount a switch on the dash of the Xpress. Thanks,

I like the RAM units (can get them from Cabela's). They have a universal mount that clamps to the handlebar or rack, then the light clamps onto the mount, which has built in ball joint swivels. You can also attatch a GPS, 2-way radio, or pistol holster to the same universal mount using their quick-tatch system.
I am sure there are other ones that are just as good, I just like the RAM system for it's versatility and quality.

As for wiring, I would most likely run a fused wire from the battery, so as to be sure not to overload any existing wiring.

Farmr123, does that light have mounts to where I could just bolt it to the composite front rack? My friends mounts were circular, so they wouldn't work on mine. Thanks for the help

The mount base (the part you leave attatched) is flat, with 2 holes about 1 1/4 inch or so apart. You can drill holes wherever, and use 2 bolts 1/4 inch in diameter to attatch it to anywhere sturdy enough to hold it. It also comes with a U-bolt that matches the spacing of those two holes, so you could clamp it to the handlebar or any tube that the U bolt will fit around. I didn't measure the size of the U bolt, but it is big enough to clamp to the handlebar, with a little space to spare.
I recommend clamping to the handlebar somewhere myself. Makes it easy to turn on & off, raises the light high enough to not glare off of stuff you have on the front rack (a problem I was having with the pod mounted high beam), and the light will shine wherever you 'steer' rather than just point directly in front of the quad. The ball swivel joints allow for all kinds of adjustments.
All in all I am impressed with the overall quality of mine. I wish I could give you a price estimate, but mine was a gift from the wife.

So you can mount it on the handlebars? I have the 2 headlights off my Banshee that I have thought about sticking on there, and wiring them up. Thanks for you help Farmr, it is greatly appreciated.
