Any experience with Meir plastic skid plate ?

Thinking of getting one for my Honda. This seems like it would be less prone to denting etc.. than a steel plate and might actually be " Slicker" to go over objects rather than hanging up. Thanks for any info.

I put one on mine about 3 months ago. I like it. It was easy to install and works great. I
changed the oil last week and didn't notice any cracks or any thing. With the last couple of
ride's having a lot of rocks that was pretty good.

I did a major refurb of my machine....I went with meir plastic all the way around. And just as you are doing, I thought....let me try the plastic skids. They save weightand bolt on real easy.
I have had no problems with the actual fender plastic. But the skids did not work out well for me...It could have been winter related (cold), but after a few rides the mounts for the plastic skids actually cracked (plus...the plastic skids often rely on tie wraps to hold them in place). They don't seem to be strong enough for any good whacks from rocks or trees. well that is my experience.
good luck

I put one on my 450 about 3 months ago. They mount up really good, at least on mike bike there was no "zip ties" all bolt and washer mounting. The only modification I made was that it didn't come with a access hole to undo the front diff drain bolt, so I just drilled one in at walla...thats it! It has held up really good, lots a rocks just a few scratches, and does seem to slide over things alot better, hope this helps
