I have a snow plow for my 2002 big bear 4x4 with a manual plow, i was wondering if there was any other easier way of lifting this snow plow and using it with out getting a plow actuator or a winch.

I take it you have the manual lift bar on the left-hand side of your quad now?

I think, you have a problem with lifting the blade after you push the snow, is that right, Theron?
If so, you can fix the problem by shifting the quad to reverse before you try to lift the blade. Move the quad backward a little to clear the blade of the snow pile, then lift it. You'll find it works very well...
Happy plowing...
Chuck

Not sure what company it is, but one of them makes what they call an EZ lift. It is a manual lift, but utilizes leverage better than the old style. I think it was either Moose or Cycle Country.

BIG THERON,

IS YOUR PLOW NEW AS WELL AS YOUR QUAD? ASKING BECAUSE MY NEW CYCLE COUNTRY PLOW HAS A NEW LIFT SYSTEM AS OPPOSED TO MY 1999 C.C.PLOW, UNBELIEVABLE DIFFERENCE IN LIFT EFFORT . MY 99 PLOW HAD THE LIFT HANDLE TIGHT TO MY TANK ,NOW IT IS ACTUALLY WIDER THAN THE HANDLE BARS, AND LIFT EFFORT IS MINIMAL NOW, BUT AS ANOTHER PERSON MENTIONED ,HIT REVERSE BEFORE LIFTING ,THAT I USED TO DO WITH MY OLD ONE ---WORKS. KEEP US POSTED HONRAN01

The EZLift is from Moose at:

www.mooseutilities.com

I bought one (cost about $200 I recall) and compared to my buddy's standard "stick lift", it's a lot easier, both due to leverage and the spring-assist mechanism. Eventually, I installed a winch and use it instead.
