Just purchased a new Eiger 4X4, and I'm looking to replace the cheesey 25" Dunlops that came stock. I will be mainly using this machine for deer hunting in the north woods/swamps in Michigan's upper penninsula. I will also be plowing snow. I would REALLY appreciate any comments/advice on tire size and brand etc.

I just put a new set of Dirt Devils on my 300 2x4. I love them. They are a good all around tire and have a six ply rating. The nice thing is they were one of the cheapest tires i was looking at. I haven't really tried them in deep mud yet, but I am going riding tomorrow and we did have 6 inches of rain the other day. So we will see.

Bearclaws and Goodyears Mudrunners are worth a look. Check out East Kentucky Motorsports. They were great to deal with and had very good prices.

Thanks for the advice, dillas23 & weedy. Would you reccommend staying with the 25 inchers or going with a larger size????
Kentucky Motorsports does have good prices! Thanks!

I have had great luck with the Titan 589 M/T. For your application, I would stay with the stock 25" size. These tires are EXCELLENT mud and snow tires. They do a respectable job on hard-pack ,too. The downside is: they are a heavy tire because they are 6 ply. My 2 cents.

We will have to wait for the snow to leave now. Or go south a little ways. went down past Escanaba Saturday, and there was still snow over most of the trail. The trail there is really pretty tame. I'm ready just about any weekend.

I would have to reccommend the ITP 589's. They are a great all purpose tire. I live in the UP, and have been riding here for years, These tires will not let you down. If you are not worried about top end, or how fast you can go, then you may want to get a taller tire. If you want the speed, keep the stock size.

Hey yoopers! Thanks for the advice! I live in the lower (yes I'm a troll). I hunt with gun and bow in the Copper Country State Forest. I've alo hunted close to Gwinn in the past. I am also seriously considering purchaing some land in the upper. Any suggestions?? You know you're a yooper when......You burn your kid's Statistics text book as pornography, after all it had one whole chapter on standard deviations. You think that they will learn about leather, whips and sheep soon enough...
