Utility with speed? Try the Bombardier Quest 650. I am sure it will work good for snowplowing, and it will pass up the rest on a long straightaway.(Sportsman 700, Grizzly 660, Prairie 650). That is what I have read anyways.

The Quest has even worse ground clearance than the Prairie with a rear hitch. If you are using a utility atv for utility work and plowing, ground clearance is important. I hung my SP500 up at least 3x each year plowing snow. In our part of the country (NW PA) getting parts for a Ski-Doo or Bombardier atv is like trying to get parts for a Yugo. Good Luck.

I would wait for the 03s they will be out in another couple of months. Rumor also has it that AC will have a 750 or 800 this fall.. And AC's IRS does not squat under load. but they are not made for speed yet!

What are you considering as fair speed? The Cats will do a hair over 50MPH.

And the problem with that is????

The 375 is geared more for the trail. Getting up to 40 is fairly quick. Getting beyond 40 take a little bit, but I only have 49 miles on mine. I might get quicker the more it is broken in.

Nothing if you want the ability for a 747 to land in the same spot

Jack is right. The Grizzly is a good bet without any modifications right off the showroom floor. I watched Jack's progression and research before he bought a quad as I too was looking for a quad for many of his same reasons. But I did not need to plow so I bought a Prairie 650.

But for $169 progressive springs can make that front end a better one on the 650. I personally believe that this setup makes it a better all-around ATV than anything else. But I am biased. I just love the sportiness of the 650 with the utility aspect.

Either way, a Grizzly 660 or Prairie 650 would be my vote. They are both more fun than should ever be allowed. I am looking for a second quad now as my wife is really into ATVing and she hates riding double. A big part of me wants another 650 but another part of me wants to try something different.

I am considering a Yamaha 660, Polaris SP500HO, and a 500i Cat. I know they are all very different ATV's for different purposes but one thing they all have in common is IRS. She is not a big gal and does not ride hard. A 300cc ATV would suffice. But it would be fun to have a bigger utility ATV around for my own personal pleasure too! I think a SP700 would really be too much for her. But then again, I could ride that and she could ride my 650. What do you guys think? Whatever I get her its coming out of her paycheck!
