Ok, here is my experience with my machine after 1 year, 100 hours, and 750 miles.
1. Will top out at 62 MPH on the trails. (Will get there in a timely fashion also)
2. Will easily push a 60" plow all day long with stock tires.
3. The deluxe plow setup is great. Pull two pins front and back and the whole unit
stays with the plow. See Pics.
4. Only had to add $16.00 set of rubber spaces to keep front up when plowing.
5. No reliability issues at all.
6. Turned rear springs up one notch to cure ground clearance problems due to my
own weight.
My quad is stock except for the winch, rocker switch for the winch, and a few other small items. I just got done with my 100 hour service and total parts for a year of hard service on my machine was around $140.00 and this includes a full blown Polaris service manual because I like to do things myself. The main thing I can say is ride all the machines for yourself and choose what is right for you.

Test ride em all. See what YOU like best. (Good point bee) I heard several people with 700 exceeding 70mph. That's way too fast for my taste. When the 400 gets past 50mph my butthole starts to pucker.

When I got my 650 two months ago I got it up to 68 mph after the break-in period. My stock tires are worn some now from pavement riding and I do not dare go that fast any longer. As Brent said, 50 mph makes one's butt pucker. I am getting 27" tires mudders so my top speed should go down some to keep the temptation away.

Took a couple test rides yesterday on a couple Polaris'. First I tried out a red Sportsman 500 HO, then I drove the 400 Sportsman. After I tried out the 400, I jumped back on the 500. I liked it. It really rode nice, and it had some good snap to it. Now I am really confused on what I am going to buy this summer! If I would be buying a Sportsman, I would definitely get the 500 HO.

<< Don't depend on the Kawi 650 for much snow plowing. If you put a winch and snowplow on the front, you will be dragging bottom with the nose when you lift the plow. It has a very poor utility suspension setup. Just sit on the front rack once and see what happens.

I'm in the market right now for a new utility quad. The Kawi has a great engine, but all else is very mediocre. Poor front struts and coil springs for utility work. Unable to handle lifting a 60" snowplow blade (that's why kawi doesn't make one), poor ground clearance with the rear swingarm setup.

The 650 can plow. I think that Jack was referring to the 650's soft front suspension. Its a little soft. I can feel the give on some extreme cornering. The 650 would be better off and easier used for plowing with the aftermarket progressive springs.

I can tell you that the kawi 650 is he best quad that I have ever owned, I plan to sell my 660 griz as soon as the 03 p650's are out. the 660 is a great bike I thought it was probably the best out there until I got the p650 2 months ago, I already have twice the hours on the p650 vs the 660 grizz. I bought the 660 last sepember. I have never injoyed a quad more than the kawi 650. I have been a huge yamar fan, I have owned 9 in the past 5 years. It pains me to say it but not only has the kawi been the most fun to ride but its quality is fare better than the other bikes I have owned. If I can ever get the mods I need to make it at least keep up with my raptor I plan to sell it too, I think it can be done. The P650 is one great quad.
