Anyone ever use a snow plow on your ATV to move gravel? If so… any tips and tricks. Just moved to the country and we have ˝ mile long gravel driveway, gets a lot of traffic and of course the gravel seems to move on Its own to the sides of the drive. It gets old paying someone to come out and put the gravel back onto the drive. Thanks…..X city slicker

I just got my Warn plow a couple months ago and it does a great job pushing gravel as long as you dont get too much in front of the blade. Also if your blade came with the gravel skids use them. They allow you to adjust the blade an inch or two above the ground. This allows you to push the gravel from the high spots to the low ones. Without them the blade seems to dig down the dirt and just pile the gravel up instead of spreading them. Hope this helps.

We plowed hard packed dirt with our Suzuki QuadRunner 500. We put the snow chains on and all we had to do was tighten the springs so it wouldnt fold over so easy and just do a little at a time or it will just spin the tires. Plowing gravel will be a lot easier than dirt that has been sitting for 2 years.

Be carful because the paint on the plows is very thin and gravel will chip it off and now you will have a rusty plow that makes ur quad look like crap that is just my 2 cents

A snow plow was never made to push gravel. You stand a great chance on bending your frame on your quad by doing so....Rob

I never had any luck at all trying to plow or pull back gravel with any atv blade. They are not made for this.

I have been involved with commercial snow plowing for 3 years now and if there's one thing I've learned about the blades is that when the paint chips, the snow doesn't roll off as smoothly.

If you figure it all out.... you might be better off having a dedicated blade to fix the driveway and a blade for snow.... chances are you will still save some money without having someone re-grade your driveway.

My family has a Polaris 500 sportsman with the 5 foot plow for our snow removal at home and since we take care of it... it is easier to get rid of the snow. Tomorrow we will be adding a Kawi P650 to the collection and the polaris will be sent down the road. (TOO many problems)
