The rmk has a towing capacity right along with all the other big bores. Great rack capacity. But I dont see a winch on the factory website. nor any mention of one. It did say that it had a super low gear. Almost 700 #s with a msrp up there with a 700. Kinda makes you want a 700. For a hundred more bucks you get another 275# more towing capacity and higher rack weights, w/selectable 4wheel drive. and the hitch capacity is 5 times higher on the 700. I dont think the rmk is really marketable now that I look at it. Other than the cool locker and full time four wheel drive.

 

They quit making the Magnum 500s all together (RMK included) They quit making the RMK all together, from what I understand, and the standard Magnum 500 may be re-introduced when they sell out their backlog of leftover ones. I would imagine they will get the improvements the 330 has, including the 4wd locking mechanism at the differential instead of the hub (no wires to the strut to tear) and the new shifter mechanism which includes a 'park' feature (I wish ALL ATVs had that).

The Magnums weren't a hot seller, and with a price above the Sportsman HO, the RMK moved even slower.

 

They still make the magnum 500, it's in the professional series section, all yellow with black wheels, and it's made for work.

 

Polaris pure junk ,Junk I say! I get so sick of my friends bike breaking on every ride! Honda is by far the best ATV!

 

Tell your friend to buy a new polaris.

for my style of riding and utility needs, the Sportsman fit my needs perfectly. the only improvement i could ask for is a recoil back-up starter...........just in case!
