Well, my 02 Traxter XT is awesome in the mud and deep water. First went through a mud hole and a 660 grizzly could not make it all the way, could of been that I really tore it up but hey, it was great seeing it get stuck with the diff lock on. Another hole a 03 Traxter got stuck that I had passed in and so did the 500 Cat manual. I did get stuck myself but I was very impressed with the locking front diff of this machine.
Deep water, wow, up over the front racks, started to float a bit, could not believe it. Checked the air box and had about half a hand of water, nothing as the air filter was still dry as a bone. Now this was really deep, enough that only a 500 Cat and I went in. The rest new better.
They say ligther is better in the mud and Independant will kill a straight axle, well from what I have experienced it can come pretty close as I had better luck then the Cat and the Grizzly, even let the grizzly lead and I went everywhere he did, except for one spot.
So anyone looking for a machine, remember the MAGS pick the winners who pay the most. The bombardier Traxter's rock in the mud, with that locking front diff, it will go where most HOnda's and Yam's get stuck in.
