Will Mud Lite 25-10-12 Work?
#1
Will these tire kill my 2003 yamaha wolverines power? I wanted to stay with a 23" tire but can't find any. These are suppose to be lite I hope. What do you all think? Please help

Yes they will rob some power. Mostly from the bottom. A friend used to have one with 25" Bi-TriClaws and his biggest complaint was not being able to spin the tires in the really thick mud because of the increased weight, traction and taller gearing. For the most part he liked the set up. The Mud Lites are lite I just put 26" on my P650 and they have the deeper tread than 25`s. I would suggest you put the 10" width front and rear to help maintain a closer to stock weight (imo) this would be a great all around combination.
P.S. Keep an eye on your front wheel bearings. They tend to wear somewhat quicker with larger tires.

Do you think they are lite enough that I'll only see a sight drop in power. I have done no mods to it so I really don't want to kill the bottom that much. Please let me know what you think? Are they Any litier then the tri-bi claws?

My "guestimate" would be yes only a slight loss on the lower end with 10" F & R. As far as the difference in weight I couldn`t say, if you believe ITP`s advertising they`re lighter.
Where do you live and what type of terrain will be riding? If you don`t need the agressive mud tread you could consider the Holeshot Radial ATR`s. They are very light for a 6 ply tire and do very well in everything accept thick mud from what I`ve read.
What size wheels does the Wolverine have 10 or 12"? They have the Mud LIte in 23x8x10 and 23x10x10.

They are 23x10-12 rear and 23x8-12 front Stock. I live in NH where the there is some mud & alot of snow. The mud is not very thick or real deep. What do you think, Should I go for the Mud Lites in 25x10-12 Rear And 25x8-12 Front? I also Want to go with alloy ITP wheels so that might help to huh? This I would think would help wheel bearing life also. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

NH has similar terrain to NY, so if it were me I would go with 25x8x12F and 25x10x12R Mud Lites on aluminum wheels on a Wolverine.
The choice is yours and I know it`s a tough one but I think you`ll be happy. Also since it`s an 03 I`m assuming you don`t have a lot of time on the machine. If there is a slight loss of power on the bottom you may not even miss it.
The wheel bearings on the Wolverines tend to wear out some what quicker with larger tires because of the added weight, leverage, rotating mass and usually exposed to a lot of mud. There not going to wear out right away but the experience my friend had was about every 500 miles he needed to replace his. This was about once a year but he did ride mud a lot.
Good Luck
