Beartacker needs work
#1
I own an 02' Yamaha Beartracker and I got a lot of questions. First of all, what were the engineers thinking when they designed some of this? The reverse is probably in the most inconvenient and difficult place the could have put it, the tranny always messes up, and they shouldn't have even put that stupid plastic bumper guard on the bumper. Any other owners with complaints?

I have the old Yamaha 250. Not the Timberwolf but the a 1991 moto4. Good bike for its age, all they have did since then is make it cheeper.
If you get a 250, get the ozark, even tho it is a suzuki.

I have an 03 Beartracker that I absolutely love. I looked at the Ozark and Recon but chose the Yamaha. I haven't had any problems from it yet. It actually goes through things that my brother's Scrambler won't. I haven't had any problems with the transmission except that it never shifted particularly smootly from the beginning. The Ozark has tiny racks and isn't good for even light work. I hear a lot of people complaining about Beartrackers, but whatever floats your boat I guess.
