Superwinch 2000
#2
I have both a Superwinch (on my 400 Sportsman) I got it off ebay for $175 then I had to buy a flairlead and remote switch another $60.My 425 has a Warn 2000 on it and it cost $275 with everything with it.THey both work good but if I had it to do over I would have goten another Warn they are built better and come with longer line on them. You can get good deals on both on ebay.

Superwinch allows companies like Moose (ATV3000), Cabela's Trail Tamer (1500, 2000, and 3000), to put their labels on the Superwinch winches. Atvdoc.com has a winch that looks exactly like the Superwinch and they state that it is identical to the Superwinch but has their brand on it for $180. (ATV2000) RockyMountainatv.com has a Tusk ATV2000 (Tusk is RockyMtn. brand name) for $109.99 and it looks exactly like the Superwinch 2000. I wonder if it might be a Superwinch with a Tusk label on it. They offer the mounts for $59.99 including fairlead roller. There are really only about four atv winch manufacturers that I could find on the web. Ramsey, Warn, Superwinch, and I think Rule. The others don't make winches that look exactly like Superwinch. That is why I believe that there is a good chance that the Tusk is a Superwinch. It may be worth a look.

I find the superwinches to be real noisy. Just the same, we've had one on our 6x6 Argo for tha last 14 years without any problems. I like the warn on my forman better though. Way better freespool switch, and is quieter. I'd go for the 2500 lb model for a little extra grunt in the hard stuff.
