atcfan, I'm wondering if you could use a rubber switch cover from a Superwinch. (If the switch is the same size and someone would sell you the cover.) If you look in the Cabela's site and type in winch under search. It shows the Superwinch with an orange cover to make it waterproof. Maybe it could be cut or stretched to fit. Have you had any problems with water getting into the switch?

so far i have not been thru a lot of deep water to have problems with it. the back of the switch, where the wires come out is completly exposed so i crammed a bunch of grease in there. but the rocker portion of the switch i have no idea how to water proof that. i wonder if a warn or superwinch switch will work. it needs to have 4 wires coming out of it for it to work. my neighbor has a cool warn winch switch that mounts under the start button on his arctic cat. its about an inch and a half long. but of course it only has 3 wires coming out of it so it will not work. i wish there was a switch that i could get at an auto parts store. i am too cheap to get a $50 switch, thats half of what i paid for the winch.

atcfan, Where did you mount the switch? I ended up mounting my switch at the rear of the front rack. That way I can reach it when I'm holding the cable. Ramsey makes remote controls for other brand winches. I've seen the Warn switch, it looks good and blends in well. What I was talking about is just a rubber cover that slides down over the top of the switch.

There were replacement Superwinch switches with 4 wires and rubber covering but they were about $46. Too Much.

I had a little problem trying to get the complete http: to work for Northerntool.com. I did look at a couple switches at the site but I'm not sure which one you were talking about. I'm looking in my Northern catalog and I don't think these will work with the ATV2000. The number they list for their 2000lb. atv winch is #14115-C176. The switches shown do not seem compatible.
If you go under- http://www.atving.com/editor/review/...h/retrofit.htm it shows some problems with the Superwinch switches and the cover they made to fix them. Notice that the "S.W." switch housing is the same as the Tusk.

the switch i am talking about has a 10 ft cord with a plug at the end. it is made for an truck winch. if it has 4 wires on it it would probably work just would have to cut the plug off and splice the wires. yeah i noticed the switches are the same exact thing. i am convinced that the 2 winches are the same but with diferent names. perhaps i will have to break down and spend $40 to get an actual winch switch.

I think that the remote switch with a 10' cord may be compatible.(for $100.too much) The other switches could probably be used as long as they have 4 wires. I would just be concerned about where to mount a truck switch. On the www.atving.com site there is a 1800 number for Superwinch. You could just call and ask if there is a way to get the rubber covers. How much could they cost? (Probably $20. or $30.
