Are these bikes any good I can buy one thats got a title and will pass inspection for about 300.00. I am considering getting it because I turn 16 this year and can get my motorcycle permit.

They were a decent motorcycle back in the day...Had a friend with one and he beat it senseless and it never missed a beat..

I also cant imagine you wouldnt be able to sell it for $300.00 when you out grow it..

Use it for a few years and get your investment back...Hard to beat..

I have a 1974 TC185 that I got in 1990. They're good bikes. Mine tends to sit a couple years and I never have much trouble with it. A month ago it started on the third kick after sitting two years. Right now it's got a minor idle issue I'll get sorted out as soon as I get the chance. Probably the carb; I've had more carb problems this year on my rolling stock than in the last 20 years combined. I think it's the ethanol, which I personally think should be drank, not mixed with gasoline.

Unfortunately the guy sold it to somebody else after saying he would hold it for me till I could pick it up he next day. So Im on the look for something else now.
