Default 2004 LRX ls90-1t ....( push button start not working )

Hello. I have a lrx 90 that the push button start is not working. It came that way when I bought it. Back story......i have replaced battery.....starter relay switch ( I broke the old one ) and rectifier ( online company said that is most likely the issue ). So I have checked all grounds and all seems to be good. ( in the process of separating some of the grounds due to the clamps they have tied together ). I have disconnected all connectors and cleaned them.....( added dielectric grease to all connections ). I then hooked up the battery with fuse in place.....turned the key and fuse did not blow...( this is with everything disconnected except for ignition ). I then started to plug everything in one by one. I was able to plug everything in with out blowing the fuse until I got to the head lights ( I bought new bulbs.....i could only find bulds with 2 connections on the bottom instead of the one....which is what it is supposed to have ). I took the bulbs out and installed another fuse.....this time it did not blow. So now I am down to the last connector. ( still at this point I am unable to start the bike with push button ). The last connector is up by the steering column. It is a 2 blade ( male ) connector with a ground and yellow and red wire. Ground is connected to 4 other grounds ( all tested good ). The yellow with red strip is connected to a group of 3 other yellow and red. ( one goes to the top case of the generator...i think..? It is right next to where the carburetor mounts on the right side of it. Another wire goes to the ignition. The last goes to the rectifier. ( which is new ). Now this connector was plugged into a female connector with a brown wire and green wire with yellow strip. Both of these are connected to groups of the same wire. ( this connector looks like a accessory to me ) so now....as soon as i plug these to in i blow the fuse. I am at a loss to where I go from here.

I would be completely fine with setting up an entire now starting switch bypassing what ever is going on. ( would rather fix the problem if I can ) any help would be awsome.
