Has anyone rode the Huron Trail in Michigan near Oscoda/Hale? If so what is it like?

I was there 2 weeks ago. We parked at the trailhead at sand lake and rode up to south branch. The trails are wide. It should be called a route, because they are about 8ft wide. it is flat almost all the way, except for a couple of little hills. On the east side of the trail, by the foote damn store it was MUDDY. That is the only place you can get gas. The trailhead parking at south branch is alot nicer. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info. We were going to use Sand Lake trailhead, but now will use Liberty Road instead.
