Taylor Park should keep you busy for a while,,,,I would avoid hunting season!!
I passed thru there in 2001,,,,,,,OH how i wish I had some bikes with me. I think its like 11,000 feet,,,right next to Tin Cup. Just over Cottonwood Pass,,,,coming from Denver.

For a much closer ride, there are some nice trails that are sport bike friendly just West of Central City. I was up there about a month ago and we had a bit of trouble with snow but it is all gone now. If you want to look into joining a local ATV Club, I would suggest the Colorado Quad Runners (http://www.homestead.com/coloradoquadrunners/index.html). Both my wife and I are members. Check out the ride calendar for upcoming rides, it will give you some ideas of places to go as well. A lot of the people in the club ride sport bikes but there is a good mix of utilities as well. Very nice people.
