Here are some shots of the mud/water holes we went through at Marienville. Those of you who were there may recognize them. Click my briefcase link to view.

Boomer.. looks like you like the water.. Was that the ATV Rodeo location ??
I was very impressed with the ride.. It was my first time.. Had a great experience.. Alot of dirt roads, but some great trials.. One compliant.. they closed the one loop on sunday, because of mud. That was the best trail loop they had.. yeah well.. Met a couple cool people.. Saw alot of things out there. Big(ds650) and Small(Suzuki 80). It was great to see alarge amount of people. Saw a nice Blaster.. he modified his front fender to mimic the ds650. Was pretty cool.
I never much liked the Utility machines..(just preference) But after seeing some of these things.. DAMN I want one !! I ride a 300ex, and I was buried in mud, then these utility machines come out and not a speck of mud on them.

had a great time.. Planning for the Fall ride I think !! We stayed in the Loletta Lynn camp ground. Was ok.. They don't bother you at all. Would like to be able to ride from a camp ground right to the MACA biulding. Is there any ??????

There was no rodeo due to another event being staged at the Fox raceway (where the rodeo usually is ).
I was told that 2-3k worth of repairs will need to be made to the loop which was closed on Sunday. The mud is nice to ride in, but tough on the trails. Remember that since this ride is on ANF land, the organizers have a responsibility to maintain it.

I was there on saturday.I found the big water hole also my friend went through it on his 300 ex he said it was all slate on the bottom.Tried to get me to go through it but I was already cold enough(400ex's keep stuff of you very well). It was differnt a lot of trails but I thought it started to get kinda boring other than the waterhole.
I can't believe how many people had polaris's they had to be about 60 percent of the quads there.
What was up with that hillbilly putting those huge rock in the middle of the trail? not everybody has 10 inches of groung clearance.
see ya

Yeah, I remember those rocks on the road. Right down in the muddy road section where there were camps. It had a sign Fawn something or other. I rode over them and gassed it pushing them aside. I went through the deep part of the water. It was a mud bottom. The the other section wasnt bad. I saw Blasters go through it. I helped a guy on a 300 EX when he wheelied over just before going into the water. I was right behind him. Maybe that was your buddy.

I remember the rocks !!! Damn things !! They gave me my first scratch on the new skid !! yeah well.. How about the "slow.. Kids at play" sign.. I was laughing so hard.. I don't blame them for the sign, and yes i went slow.. But was thinking, they couldn't find another route that didn't go through those houses.. The one yard got really ripped up along there. they had it roped off on Sun. I thought it was put together really well... Am planning on Oct. Anyone else ???
