Well,
I have about 1/2 of the raptor ready to go. I will be shooting in a pool tournament in Federal Way this weekend so no riding for me. You NW people have been doing a good job of riding (keep up the good work). I did go to Trask(as Smokeeater said, it was off limits)(fire danger), oh well.

Hopefully we will get a shower before you guys get to tahuya so the dust wont kill you. Have a safe ride.

Bill, did you find a tire???

Mark, No Tire yet, But I was successful at getting this one "patched". I hope to test it tomorrow!

the Les Schwab in Lakewood has some ATVer's working there and they new how to patch the tire, were the 6th ave store wouldn't even offer suggestions.

so, If the price is right, I'm still looking for a spare, since Marci and I have the same set up. (Just in case)

Thanks for Asking

Bill

Larry,
As far as this weekend. Roberta and I will be going over fairly early Friday. Should have camp set up by 2-3PM and will go riding that late after noon. As far as Saturday goes, and oh by the way it is supposed to shower a bit on Saturday. But as far as Saturday goes, a couple from work is coming over but you are welcome to join us. Im pretty sure we will be meeting the couple from work at Effendahl staging area. In the past, they are not the earlyest birds in the bunch. So, knowing that you are a real early bird, you might get there before us. If you have a cell phone, gice me your number in a private message.

Bing, I kind of figured you'd like that Trailblazer since you were screunched intop the jump seat of that damn S10. Next time its nuttin but puxory for Mark. You'll even get your own Air conditioning control...whoowie...Also, Larry, about the 6th at Evans Creek. Theres 4-6 of us from work going up. You are welcome to join, just be aware that there will be 2-3 very inexperienced riders in the group.
Thats all for now. Everyone have a great rest of the week. And Id venture to guess we are the most active bunch of people on this site. Either that or we just like to talk. Smile

Thanks for the invite to Evans Creek, when it comes to that type of riding, rutted out trails and such, I'm pretty inexperienced myself, should be alot of fun, or at least challenging, blasting around the logging roads get pretty boring after awhile. As far as this Saturday goes, I'm off on Friday, have to see how much I get done around the house, as to warrant riding Saturday. I have full rain gear so that's not a problem, alittle shower. I've never been to Tahuya, Rusty went once, didn't like it, but he doesn't like trails, so he may not go, if he was even invited, he doesn't have a computer, so he can't speak for himself.
But again, thanks for the invites
Larry

Now you have my curiosity peaked, what's going on the the Raptor, are you making it the superbike you talked about before? I ordered the DR Reverse setup, getting rid of that ****, this lever attaches to the handle bar next to the throttle. Going into install a reverse limiter cutoff switch also to combat that 2000 rpm limit, want more juice in reverse for those rutted, log infested turnarounds.
Good luck in the pool tournament.

Hey Everybody,
Thundershowers for Saturday, how will that effect your plans for riding, and will the price of gas slow you down at all?

Well, thudershowers? How often is the weather man right? If it looks THAT bad on Friday afternoon, I might pack up and come home. But, Im banking on the weather man letting just enough moisture out of the sky to keep the dust down. Time will tell. And as far as the price of gas. It can go to $3 bucks a gallon but I aint gonna let them darn governmental knuckleheads slow me down. I just wish they would give us a reason every time they jack it up 20-30 cents a week/month. So. Larry if you think you may not make it, give me some sort of idea but Friday noon. Cuz Ill check the site before we leave and by knowing, I wont make any changes to my plans unless I know you are coming over.
See Ya

Well, I decided to bag out this weekend, there's some things I need to work on around the house and putting the new reverse lever on and installing a reverse rev limiter bypass. My new sand tires came in today, just waiting for front rims. I can't wait to try the new ones out, Skat Trac Extremes 22-11-10 and Kenda Dune Runners 22-8-10, both on Douglas Red Label stock offset rims.

I must say, the price of gas has got me alittle upset also, $15.00 to fill up two quads, plus extra gas cans. And then the gas to get where you're going, I think a ride every other weekend is in store for me, and this should be the off weekend.

Well I hope you and Roberta have fun, enjoy.

Well, I've been doing the big-time family thing and the big-time study thing, and the big-time work thing and now that I am totally stressed out (not really - but do ya feel sorry for me yet? I am ready for a little play.

So, I think it's time for a quickie Rock Candy run tomorrow before all the crazies descend (spelling?)

By the way, Sand Lake was a total gas - my dad loved riding a quad (the old dirt biker learned a new trick or two , the 13 year old who has no coordination did awesome down by the water and my 11 year old is learning how to use a clutch - zoinks!!! I have a line on a totally awesome (5 stars!) house that is just up the coast from sandlake and $60 a night (sun-thurs) It was amazing!!!!

By the way Larry, don't be a w**nie about getting the rappy muddy - bikes, skin, and clothes wash thank goodness. And its good clean fun

Cheers!

Marci
