Badlands are like Holeshots only little different. They are 6 ply and very durable.

Thanks Pete I was too lazy to open a magazine and look. Just got some Razrs, so I'm good for a year or two.

They are made by Carlisle...they are Les Schwab specialty tires...however they are only a ...2 ply tire I have had them for less than 9 months and had 3 flat tires...

My opinion is to spend the little bit of money and get the Holeshots and get the better thickness and durability. You end up spending more money with the Badlands because of flats if you ride terrain like Tahuya, Capitol, or Rieter....

I am pretty sure they are six ply. I have had a few sticks hit the sidewalls and no punctures. They are 22" badlands not the 20"s

Ok well I guess it's NO Sand Lake for us THIS weekend but we may be going in a couple weeks who knows I guess when the inlaws are ready then we are LOL, might just have to do some camping/trail riding need to go scout some good trails for the group ride in Sept. ANYONE interested in this yet
Tractorpacker, guesss you figured it out I don't need the tires seen ya almost stop last night but then kept going?

As far as the tires you guys are talking about I would definetly stick w/ Razrs!! Ron has had a set of 6 plys on the 400 for about 3 years & not ONE flat!!! I would NOT purchase another set of holeshots though DJ has the MX fronts on the blaster & they are almost bald & we jut got them last year!! They work good on the flattrack but not for a trail tire, as for rears I've had GREAT luck w/ my tamers on the rear for trails, no flats or sticks thru. I do have a nail in one now that would be from MY driveway I do believe. Next set of rears I get will probably be another set of tamers or Razrs. I've heard good things about the Kenda Klaws too on Exriders.com

dirtmomma is right about the holeshot MX tires, they are 2-ply tire & made specifically for racing mx with soft compounds & small diameter, not a good trail tire.
the other holeshots are supposed to be good, tehy have different tread compounds & are usually 4 or 6 ply (XC, HD, etc.. models) i haven't tried them yet.

I have 2 sets of Razr tires that i use for GP racing, (i also run some of them on beadlock wheels)all are 4-ply but they are available in 6-ply if you want tougher tires. i've only had one flat so far, and treadwear has been great

my brother has a set of fast trekkers that he's had no flats with at all other than dirt & crap getting in the beads from hitting stuff, used them for trail riding & some GP type races... we've beat on them & they're still going, but definitely showing wear now
