Wish I could join you.
Maybe some other time.
Horsefall is first come first serve after September 30th. I went down the same time last year and pretty much had the dunes to myself. Great weather too.

We plan to hit Spinreel the first weekend of October. It is also first come and a decent campground. Horsefal is like staying in a Walmart parking lot. Would like to stay at Honeyman as that is the first weekend for dune access out of H loop but it's already booked.

I have actually never been in the spinreel campground. i have ridden to spinreel entrance from horsefall side and yeah the asphalt is nice though for a big trailer, But heck if i end up just tentin who knows. And difference between horsefall and walmart is it cost money to stay at horsefall you can stay in any walmart parkin lot in the nation for free.

So looks like Lu and I and Mr and Mrs Bean just might be able to make it to Sandlakes with U all Sept.17-19. Who's all going and what do we need to know as far as camping reservations or riding permits?

We would be able to hit Coos Bay (Horsefall or Spin Reel) the weekend of October 2nd and 3rd or October 16th and 17th due to work schedule.

Can anyone else make it one of these weekends?

We used the staging lot at Spinreel this summer, haven't camped at the campground yet but it looks nice, like the Sandlake campground. It's the only "real" campground with dune access in the summer. Horsefall vs. Walmart - Horsefall doesn't sell the only two things you need to fix a broken quad. Duct tape and sledge hammers.

i'd suggest spinreel, has any stayed at the KOA? its not bad and its in the middle of horsefall(boxcar) and spinreel. it has a small store and great showers. it does have a curfew on noise and riding, but its not bad. good luck
