BTW how are the roads going in there??? We haven't bee there for about 3 yrs & they were bad then in fact it almost ripped the bumper clean off the motorhome w/ the trailer we had to have it welded up @ the Sand Lake Store!! hehe, if I can go up most (not all though I'm very sure) of those Sandlake tree shots with my 600lb Rinny and stock tires, you guys should be flying up there

Come on down when I'm there Sean, I'll take you on some real fun ones, right Larry?
Be sure to bring your shovel because you will be burying your Rinny at the bottom instead of trying
to drag it up!

Thanks!
The road from 101 to the Sand Lake store sucks! They are still working on it. You may have to follow a pilot car with waits up to 30 minutes. There are some real rough sections. Lots of gravel and dust.
Have fun down ther Dirtmomma and crew!

hehe, I knew I'd get some reaction.

The lightbulb finally clicked. I couldn't figure out what road you guys were talking that was so bad down there. But the pilot car comment turned the light on.

OMG, that road sucks.

Instead of turning right from 101 that goes to that crappy road, keep going straight on 101.
Listening to how bad and slow it is with your trailers (and wear and tear, along with damage), I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't take all that much longer to go straight. I went both ways when I ws there last. It is definately shorter mileage wise to take the crappy road, but worth the trip around the other way. Really

Amen to that. When we were there last weekend, It was the 1st time we had ever been there, and we STILL ventured out of our safety zone to find better road, and that was it. It might have been 15-20 minutes out of the way, but the trailer was still behind us when we got to Tillamook! I've flipped quads on trails that were easier than that road

. Well, mebbe not, but it wasn't no Indy track.

If I'm right on the name of the road by the little store that you turn to get to the dunes (Galloway),
it is only about 15 miles farther to go around the SMOOTH and LEAST DAMAGING way.
I would not go that sh!tty road way for anything, especially if I was towing a trailer
I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't take much longer at all, considering how much better the road is and the fact you could go faster.
Want to know more, let me know.

MrOffRoad is my testimonial, I would really recommend going around.

Good luck and have fun.
