Well guys it was fun at the dunes but but but but but aaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh I blew two bikes up in the first 2 hours (drag bike and ds 770) think I lost a rod bearing in the drag bike. Lost the lower case gasket in the 770. Guess that is the reason to have a long list of rides I thought that I was going to run over a bald guy in Auburn on the way home He he he he Hi Happa, took me a while to realize it was you
Sandbomber
Sorry to hear about the quads, build them up, tear them down, man ya gotta love it !!! Yeah that was me and Val. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the little beaver on your front end and a trailer in tow, told Val, that has to be Sandbomber coming up on us. I could see you and I believe Kathy in the front so out goes the arm waving franticly trying to stick that ugly azz bald head out the window. All I can say is "What a sweet ride you got there"

Well, I took all the plastics off the 400 and gonna try my luck sanding and painting. So far so good. Sanded them suckers down to a baby butt sooth finish. Actually theres a guy on the next street from me with a custom painted raptor. Berta was out for a walk and saw it and asked him how he did it. He said it was really easy. So, guess what, 30 minutes later, we had the plastics off and a sand we would go. Thank goodness I had one of those hand held orbital sanders. That made it a lot easier, Or course, it wont fit everywhere. As far as nooks and crannys. But prime and sand prime and sand. If it doesnt work, oh well, at least all I gotta do is put new plastics on it. But I figured what the heck, it doesnt cost much to try it. Now I wonder what color Berta will come up with. Pink? with bright green polkadots? Now that would be a one of akind quad and Im sure Id spot her from any where in the dunes from at least a mile away.

Right on, glad you took that project on, I'm proud of you, now just have it finished before Sandlake or you'll have to buy Berta a brand new yfz 450

Great weekend at Easton! There are so many reason why that place has to be the best quad/campin' spot in the world! (okay the state!) It's less than 2 hours away; you can camp and ride for hours right from camp; you get to hang out with the best people around, the list goes on!!!!!

Its good to hear that everyone had a great weekend while the rest of us stayed home and were force fed reruns of trading spaces. Damn, I really dislike that show! Every time I came in from the garage, my wife had it on. Can we vote it off TV?
Anywho, I did get to ride for a couple of hours here in the big city, so the weekend wasn't a total loss. I had some fun jumping a 35' step-up on a buddies 50 track. That is what happens when you work with guys that spend 11k on modified fifties. A pretty cool small track with real nice jumps. They like me to run the 450 on it to "keep it smooth" tough gig if I might say so.
Nickli, post some pics of your paint job so we can see how it went. I've never attempted anything that big. It would be cool to see how it goes. Don't get me wrong, I can throw down with the Krylon with the best of them. Bill

EASTON GANG - Thanks for a great weekend. What a great time we had. Looking forward to riding with everyone again. We will definitely be going back, don't worry Dan, we won't tell a soul. Should have left about two hours earlier to avoid the hughnormous traffic jam due to accident just south of Mt. Vernon. Somebody on the CB said two fatalities and by the looks of the Vette I believe it.
TP, let me know when you want to get together for some fun at WV. I promise to bring all 4 wheels.

Easton this weekend.
Thanks to all the regulars that go there for showing us a good time. It was nice meeting Dan, Joel, Jolene, Troy and the rest of the gang. It was great getting to ride some new hills. You guys will have to show us Bill's Hill next time though
Great fun ripping down the trail in the dust and not being able to see even the ground below you, only the helmet and tail light in front of you.
Sorry for my little issues with a faulty ignition wire and sucking in half that puddle (no air box). I will be better prepared next time and hopefully a little better tuned. Next time with the air box I will take on the river the rest of the way.
Thank again from myself and the riders that came with me.
