Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Happa when was u planning on Sand Lake? Sept is out for us. We have a houseboat trip we are going on the week of Sept. 18th thur 25th over at Roosevelt lake. Oct would be good for us to go to Sand Lake. The way it sounded u are planning on Coos Bay. Sure would like to get together with all u and go riding somewhere. The way it sounds thou...my little polaris 400 might not keep up with all u big ones... that is why I was wondering about taking them to the dunes..we have a polaris 400 scrambler 4x4 and 400 sport. I haven't had any problems going anywhere that everyone else goes but then I grew up on bikes. go carts, tot goats and horses. We do alot of trail riding. Maybe all of us could meet half way to go riding some time. The Porter campground is really a nice one right on the creek and u can ride the trails or roads. U can ride from rock candy over to there also, but would have to have lots of extra gas so didn't run out like some people.... that was our fear when we went riding and got half way over mt and gas gage went down and we decided we better go back because we didnt bring extra gas with us. We went thur Easton couple weeks ago on way to Missoula and went by the Silverridge campground, it looked to be a real nice one. Is the riding area on the campground side or other side of hyw? It looked to be mostly mountain areas for riding? How long is that campground open for the year? I know alot of them are getting ready to close down after labor day weekend. That is one reason why we thought maybe we would go to Blue Lake the weekend of sept 11th. Shouldn't be to many people up there. We have had people tell us the scenery alone is worth the ride if your not into fishing the lake and that u can ride into lake and there is several nice campspots on the lake if u brought in your camping gear. Will check it out and let u know what it is like. We are always trying to find new places for riding.

Ok... just got the official "Maybe" on October 16th and 17th... for Coos Bay. I'm plannin' on going... I'd rather stay at Horsefall if possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 17th is my birthday, I'd love to go. Have to check it out with the better half. Maybe if I tell her that's what I want for my birthday?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Rod,

Larry's birthday is the day before yours and BigDaddys is the 10th. You are all pretty close! A bunch of October bad baby boys, lol!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Val, add one more, Katies is the 18th!

Mine is the 18th also.
I dont ride much in Sept. as I go salmon fishing that month. The last few years I've caught over 50 salmon in the 15-30# range.

So i used to think them stock yamaha front rims were pretty tough. well i changed my mind after i taco'd one and beent the other. Darn water bars on loggin roads at high rates of speed go thru the stock tires like nothin straight to the rim. i am still not sure how there is aire still in the tire? i rode all the way out on it WOT all the way once off the downhill.

You're more than welcome to join us down at Coos Bay.

I plan on camping at Horsefall campground 10/15-10/17. We'll leave after work on Thursday, stay the night somewhere around Cottage Grove or Drain, OR. that night. Arrive at Horsefall campground Friday morning and come home Sunday, sometime around 10 am.

We have two scrambler 500 4x4's and they do well without sand tires... The 4x2... can get around ok (they rent trailblazer 250's down there without sand tires). So you'll have fun with or without paddles...

I recommend not trying to keep up with anybody, ride at your own pace. We don't leave anybody behind. Most of the time the more advanced riders are shooting up little trails and dropping back down to the rest of the pack.

Wheels wobble, but they don't fall down?

Great Interview raptorchick...good reading...

I included a link to be a little shorter to Josh's website...cool videos, although some of the areas they are riding dont do any good for our sport (however we dont know the rules where this is taking place)
