Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
We purchased a Cannon Powershot 110 a few years ago. It takes pictures and movies. We had a more expensive and larger digital camera before that one and never took it out. We take this one riding when we think about it. It uses compact flash cards.
I'm sure there's a later model out now, but we like the one we have now. It's convenient to use.

Went to Tahuya today for the first time. Parked at the gravel pit area - perfect for the kids. Josh's girls practiced on their new Kazuma's and Ricky was tearing it up on the 90 - the little booger figured out how to shift into second because first was too slow!!!
Michael and I went for a ride on Salmon trail (didn't see any in the creek under the bridge) but then turned off on a logging (?) road and saw a bunch in the water running down the ditch at the side of the road. We stopped the quads and walked along checking out the spawing salmon. It was so cool! We were just right there next to them. Course, I didn't have the camera with me because of all the puddles we were going through. Darn!
The rain held off til we were on the way home. It was great! We could go into the trailer to warm up and eat. We made coffee and cocoa. Just a neat day!
No one got too hurt - Michael and a Z400 ran into each other, and Mariah rolled her quad down a hill, but no real harm done.
We race again next Sunday - would love to see our friends there - remember, we have a warm trailer. Hopefully, it won't be another mudfest, but if it is, oh well!

What brand and model of digital camera do you have? Which brand and model would you suggest looking at? I'm in the market and would like some opinions. Would like to keep price below $600, also would like movie option.
Thanks,
Larry

Both use a memory stick, the mavica also uses a floppy. Both take movies (limited to 15 sec. max)
I suggest when shopping, Look at the battery and how to charge it (I have a spare and an aftermarket charger that works in the car) and the shutter speed. My cameras are 3-4 year old technology, and I cannot get fast shots. (Moving quads you have to guess where they will be!) I've never worried about having the most pixals unless you are planning on real professional quality pictures.
BUT........I also just found a P-1 on e-bay for $150 for a friend, and like mine, if I crush it or loose it while having FUN, I won't cry to much
Oh well, just my 2 cents worth
Cle Elum ride,
I agree with what you guys said. We'll see what time we get there and the weather and figure out what to do. I agree on all the thoughts of riding the good trails vs the roads. The bottom line is we are going to ride and have fun in the snow, with fellow riders. Don't get much better than that, unless the whole family is there to ride.
It only takes me about 1-3/4 hours to get to Cle Elum from my house, but what will take up some time is getting everybody together. I'll work on getting off at 6:00. Keep ya all posted.
I'll also throw in my stuff to heat up water, soup, or whatever for lunch. Along with propane heater.
Now the big decision.......... Which quad to take.........The Foreman or the Rincon?????
Edit.
Oooops, when I read the post back, it hit me in the head so hard I fell out of my chair..What was I thinking........... The Rinny has the winch, the Foreman doesn't... Guess the Rinny is going..

Ok, Ok, I got drunk enough Saturday night that the pain in the A$$ went away pretty much.
Mark, you must have been pretty bored to go looking up that post I made last April. It was pretty funny though. Im gonna buy 2 or 3 of them there throttle housings this time. I should have stayed with the Honda. I never broke nuttin on it. That fruggin Raptor is just too squirrely for an old man like me.
Actually the sore back side was about 90% better this morning and I dont think I broke anything. But for a bit yesterday, I was wondering just what the heck I did. Had it hurt today like it did yesterday, Id ave been getting me some x-rays.
I might have to go to a twist throttle just to keep from breaking them thumb ones off.

At least one of my RINO 120s goes with me everytime I go out on the quad, even locally. I can always get home that way. So yes, I will probaly have both of them with me. If you ask real nice I might even let you use it.

Are you bringing the RINO 120? I am soooo close to buying a GPS but I am not exactly sure which one. I am really looking hard at the RINO 130.
