Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Well I'm a firm believer in the...........
HEAT UP THE BARS AND GRIPS method

I used a hair dryer to heat the bars, then heated up the grips for good measure.
The hot bars melted the glue, the grips slid right on with no problem at all
Thus allowing the use of more glue for great holding power.
The grips are as solid as can be. Hopefully should last.

Great idea. Thanks a Bunch..
I didn't want to put any wire on them at all

Nope Wally-World doesn't mount the lil tires.
Went to Les Schwab.
Locked my keys in the truck while I was there
The spare key I keep in my wallet wa somehow my Bronco key...duh!!!!!!
So through both sliders(luckily the canopy had one) I went, luckily didn't break nothing.
Les Schwab loves me, even though I bought the tires elsewhere, they mounted them for free.
I dealt with the same guy that I always talk to there. He said don't worry about it, I know you'll be back.

So, out the door we go to go test them out
Be back later...........

and as for those riding areas don't forget P500(Granite Falls) hwy 9(N) to hwy 92 towards Granite Falls, go thru town to the last 4 way stop go right, up to next stop go left follow out for a ways(few miles) & you'll come to an area on your LEFT you'll probably see other quads, bikes ect. that P-5000 you just unload go up tot he gate go thru & there's wide open roads, or you can branch off on some trails
There is also Darrington, I-5N to Arlington/Darrington exit right @ ramp follow out to stop light,(hwy9) go left @ light staying in the far right lane, you take your immediate next right go thru all the stops ect follow out of town ALL the way to Darrington, take a left @ the 4 wy stop, go to Sauk Praire Rd,(about a block up) turn right, follow out till you come to a "T" in the road, go left @ the T, follow road out it turns to gravel you can find anywhree to pull over there & unload & get some nice riding in Hope this helps some!!
Then there's Rieter, out hwy 2 to Gold Bar

I am thinking the boyz & I will be doing some riding on Spring break, there's NO WAY i will be sitting home w/ them driving me crazy so I will let folks know where/when it will be pretty local such as P5000,Darrington ect

Raj,
Welcome to the sport and the thread.
You'll love the sport and probably get along with the wackos on this thread, present company not excused.

To get to Reiter go east on hiway 2 all the way thru Gold Bar. About a mile east of Gold Bar Reiter Road will be on your left. Stay on Reiter Road (stay right at the "Y") about a mile past the "Y" on your left you will see a big gravel area. This is the lower staging area. Lots of trail in the wood from this staging area. Mainly some easier trails.
If you keep going on Reiter Road for about 3 miles you will come to a gravel road on your left. Take this road all the way to the pwer lines, passing through a creek. This is the upper staging area. Some easy trails and gravel roads all the way to very techincal trails and deep mud holes.
Keep watching on here about when and where people are going riding and invite yourself along.
It's always nice to have a trail boss/guide when you go to new areas.
Right now the next group ride is being planned for April 9th at Evans Creek.
Have fun and ride safe.

Speaking of Evans Creek, how tough/technical is it?
I have a friend who has ridden motorcycles and Odesseys (sp?) but has never ridden quads. I was thinking of inviting him along on my spare quad. Could he handle it?

I went by the ORV Rally in Olympia today. There were several hundred people there (the Capitol Steps were covered withe people along with a good chuck of the surrounding area). The Capitol Campus and many parking spots around the Capitol had trucks and trailers with ATVs, motorcycles and four-by-fours. The rally also was attended by several legislators who are supportive of our sport. The ones I noted (and am probably missing a few) were Rep. Cary Condotta, Rep. Dan Kristiansen and Senator/Mason County Commissioner Tim Sheldon. Although Sheldon was not helpful this session on a noise ordinance bill (bad bill he sponsored), he is supportive of protecting the ORV fund and opening more riding opportunities. Several dealers were there with displays. I understand that some dealers had shut down their businesses for the day and brought all of their employees. All in all, it was a great event that showed tremendous support for ORV activities.

Also, Bear, Mrs. Bear and Chuck (see the mention in Bear's adjacent post) were there. We went to lunch at the Spar afterwards and had a great time catching up and swapping fish stories (actually the ATV equivalent).

I hope folks have a great time at Beverly. It looks like the remaining parts to fix the Vinson will arrive next weekend. I plan to be up and running for Evans Creek.

Happy Easter! Please, take some time to remember the meaning of the sacrifice that the day honors.

Was a great day in Olympia. Had over 30 rigs from Shelton go down. That was 30 trucks with quads or quads on trailers. Such a big turn out that we went straight to the Capitol Building. Lots of people there , good free eats (thanks Cycle Barn) and met some new people too. I was impressed with the orderliness of the whole affair and the people attending. Hopefully this works and wakes up some people. KOMO News 4 had us on, I never found it on the other channels. By the time I got home and off loaded all the quads and put everything away my old tired butt was dragging. Everybody have a good weekend and try to stay dry.

MB, Was the cutie cooking the hot dogs one of your cuties from SPCB? Her attitude was great.
