Sandbomber and BigDaddy,
I lived in SoCal from about '73 til '92. Last time I was at Glamis was Thanksgiving '84, I was riding a 250 ATC - we thought it was crowded with maybe 500 campsites (course they were groups)
Like ya said, could ride all day all over the place - amazing how things change. There weren't too many girls riding then. It's nice that there are more now.
Another fun place we would go is some BLM land out near Blythe (near the prison) - we would ride in the morning, jetski and waterski in the afternoon, target shoot just before sunset - just us and the coyotes.

Are you going over Saturday with trailer, Marici and Micheal? We are going to meet SandBomber at the park and ride at the Highway 18/Black Diamond exit at 7:00AM. I'll give you a call and give you directions.

You do need a flag at Beverly, but, this time of year the rangers, sheriff's or whoever they are that would check such things aren't really patroling the area. But for safety sake, so we can see you coming over a hill I would buy a flag, for sure.

The ONLY THING I MISS ABOUT SO CAL (OTHER THAN FAMILY) is being able to swim in the ocean, THATS IT. The ocean water in the NW is to cold for me. Jim

King of Raptors, I would have hooked you up on the old Christmas tree. Just have to wait till next year though.
It sure sounds like you guys are going to have a blast over in natures sandbox. Just remember to bring the long underwear, top speed across the sand in 30 degree weather gets cold real quick.
I bought a balaclava (sp) or neck gator for the cold weather rides on the streetbike, I love it. Keeps the neck and face toasty warm.
