Bigdaddy and I were going to South Prairie today and discovered no parking, no tresspassing signs posted everywhere along the road where you park. The entrance to the trail was littered with roofing nails and broken glass, put there by somebody who doesn't want riders out there. Paint was poured with broken glass scattered in the paint, boulders were blocking the other entrance for dirt bikes. We've been expecting something like this happening out there, I think the riding is finished at South Prairie, unless you access the trails off the main road to Wilkenson.

Bigdaddy and I ended up taking a trip out to Evans Creek, rode some trails with a few other riders and all I can say is, muddy, steep, rocky, rooty, tough terrain, I call it the Walker Valley of the South.

Nickli's gonna take us back out there and show us some tougher trails, hehehe, that I want to see, that place is a tough ride for sure.
Larry, you didn't like Evan's?? It is a great place to ride. It is alot harder in the rain and mud, I think it is quite nice in the summer. Was it busy out there or was it quiet?? Was the camp ground open or just the day ride parking. Did you park/ride lower staging or upper?? Let me know when Nick wants to go next, I'm in for that. We will need SKLLZ to come as well

Ahhh, you know how it is, long hours of work, get home, do paperwork, eat, shower and go to bed, wake up and do it all over again. I promise, I won't let it happen again, I really missed everybody on the thread

I agree, cross the creek and shoot right over to the hill climb, the heck with letting him go down it first, we'll just have him follow us up, atleast those that dare to venture up "Bills Hill"

I did like Evans, I just think it's a tough ride, alot tougher than Rock Candy or Tahuya

It was very muddy, wet and slippery

Two other vehicles when we arrived, on our way out there was a boat load of quads heading up

The campground was open, I'd say 3 or 4 campsites taken

I think we were at the lower staging area, we rode a flat wide trail, then shot up a trail that switched back up a mountain side, rode another flat trail, then another switchback up another side. The guy we rode with said we were on the backside of the mountain. If you look at the map we were on trail #'s 102, 198, 520 and ended up at the campground, then had a 15 minute ride down a trail which ended up on a rock face down on the lower parking lot. All the trails we were on said most difficult on the trail signs.

We'll plan a ride there in the near future, I was really bogging down on the uphill climbs, think my floats are screwed up, kept sputtering, think she was receiving too much fuel, I stalled it once and had a tough time starting her back up, pretty freaky climbing rocks and your quads spitting and sputtering, oh chit!! don't crap out on me here baby

Don't worry, no widowmaker, "Bills Hill" only has 3 switchbacks, fairly steep and narrow. If you roll over or flip backwards, you won't go too far, the trees will break your fall

AMEN to WHAT HE SAID........I'm gona be sore for a month after banging around that place........the big difference in evans creek is the 4x4's that have (big time) rutted the trails out.......

I hit a rock that stopped my Rappy dead in its tracks and momentum shot me off the front left side of the quad right on my back and head (i think the quad tried to run me over) all i remember was seeing tweedy birds & stars flying around my head........WOW my ARSS felt like burnt toast!!!!!!! and i'm still shaking the cob webs out.......
