I just spent the last 30 minutes, reading the last two days of posting...
I had a great time riding! It was great meeting and riding with you guys, King, Yam926, Cheech, NWCutie.
King, Yam926, hat's off to you guys, you have fast machines. I feel that I have been truly spanked. Though King, I wish I weighed a buck-o-five... then, I might have a chance.

Sandbomber, You 'da man!!! Thanks for letting me ride your DS, that's one fast machine. I had to comment on showing off when that group took off on their drag and you told me that you were going to see if you could beat them when they were already gone... and you did...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
I'm die'n over here!!! and yes you do have to laugh. If you don't you just go crazy... S#!t happens.

My story in a nutshell:
[list]Thursday - I get news that I completed my masters with a 3.95 (Holy Wowsers! batman)
[list]Friday - last day of school before winter break - crowd control big time. Two (yes two) Christmas parties.
[list]Saturday - (Ow, my head!!!) Get up at 5, take off by around 6:15, [list]lose running lights in pick up and trailer by 6:25 (also trailer brakes and brakelights), [list]about 7:10, make Black Diamond to meet the crew, (late!) no one wants to deal with electrical, we are sandwiched between vehicles.
[list]Just before the pass, we switch to the other gas tank in the pick up[list]about 20 minutes later the truck died and we pulled over. My three sons (Yam, King, & Cheech) were right there with us. Those boys were raised right!

Part Two:
After diddling around for a bit, we figured out that young gun hit the gas tank switch with his leg and we switched it back and headed out.
No go! We died before getting up to speed! King of the Raptor with his cold weather experience determined that we had a frozen gas line! What??? My three sons rigged a McGyver fuel system - a garden hose going from a gas can (for the quads) along the door, through the mirror mount, under the fender, and up to the fuel pump. As they were about to clamp it down (ingenious as it was), they decided to put the gas into the empty tank that wasn't frozen. We made it to Ellensberg with My three sons watching over us all the way. What GOOD BOYS!!!
