Man, ain't that the truth. Living in South Texas for 25yrs, I went through many big storms, they are no fun.

 

Larry & Val I hope everything works out. The only thing that really makes me mad about this, is you are still stuck with the bill. I think its BS when your truck is ruined and you still have to pay for it. Good Luck with everything.

Well got back from Moses around 7 last night. Boy was it HOT over there. Low 90's both days. Justin truck didn't break totally but he made it there and back. I guess my gut instinct was wrong. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I followed him all the way home and he did 40 miles an hour up vantage hill. Towards the bottom he was doing really good then it just lost everything. Mind you he has a F350, crewcab, with the banks chip, exhaust. So it SHOULDN'T have a prob pulling a trailer with a cruizer and a Z400 (no camper). We had to stop at the top of vantage at the rest area and let it cool off as every single vehicle, motorhome that was in our group (except for me) over heated on that hill. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I had a good time, it wasn't crowded at all. It must of changed when the alcohol ban went into effect.

After i worked for 4 hours on Saturday i headed over there from Bellevue, and made it there in 2 1/2 hrs. Started up the quad when i got there and headed out for a beating. Those damn woops kill me! Rode for a hour (got a HUGE blister) and headed to the lake with the jet ski's. Sunday went out towards the mud hole (potholes) and got pretty muddy. I tried to go through this spot and got stuck! Got off and pulled quad out with water running into my boots. What a great feeling that is and smell too! We all went back to camp, some packed up and got ready and some of us wen to the lake for another beating on the jetski's. By 2 we were pretty much tired so we got out of camp at 3.

Ray, Everytime i went by your camp no quads where there or nobody was outside so i thought you guys might of been napping. I'm sure you heard all of the ruckess Saturday morning at 5-5:30. Justin's friend showed up drunk as hell, started up his cruizer (red) and headed out to the dunes. Broke the rear leaf springs in 10 mins. He was out for the rest of the weekend. LOL [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I'm sure you heard Justin's cruizer. Gosh that thing is loud. Maybe i will catch you guys next time.

Dang Angie I had about as good as luck w/ my(Ron's) truck yesterday [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] DJ & I were on our way to Wally world but BOTH exits were packed(damn outlet mall sucks) so we were heading toward Smokey Point to go back the other way when all of a sudden I happen to look @ my gauges & HOLY CHIT BATMAN the temp gauge was BEYOND HOT!!!!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] so I immediatley pulled off & shut er down but I think it was too late [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] Ron brought water to us & it's leaking out the back of the motor [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] either a blown headgasket or freeze plug ARRRRRGGGGGGGG so needless to say it is now parked & I'm back to the noisy ol suburban. I hope it isn't anything MAJOR I think Ron cursed me long ago driving that cuz it's his "baby" oh well it's just a tuck right LOL

I know how you feel about ron cursing you out. If that happened while i was driving Justin's truck i would get the same thing. Oh this brings a story to mind. This past weekend at Moses we where down at the lake and Justin went for a ride on the jet ski. His friend who was chit faced asked me if it would be ok to take justin's cruizer back to camp. I said, its not mine so you will have to ask him when he gets back. Needless to say he took it and when Justin got back he was like "WHO HAS MY CUIZER?" I told him and he was like that dumb chit. Well his friend came back and the top of the cooler with all of are beverages and the top to the gas can was GONE. He gave justin to different stories and justin just was like whatever it was there when i went for a ride and i came back and everything is gone. Now if I did that i would be in the hospital with a chunk missing from my butt!!! From what i have heard a guy from our group was behind him when he went back to camp and he was doing about 40mph under the powerlines, which everyone knows is whoop city. He caught up to him and gave him the time out sign, after everything was missing from the back. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] he didn't even has the courage to go back and pick it up.

My power also went out last night. Justin got up to get a drink of water and i heard him, he turned on the A/c unit in our room and by the time he was getting back in bed it went off. he said WTH. I looked over and the power was back on by that time, So since he has a battery in his clock i told him to set the alarm for me, incase it went out again, I also set my cell phone so i could get up on time. We have had the weirdest power outages. I swear that in the last 3 weeks the power has flickered at least 4 times. We lost power last night too, it was only out for about a minute, but it reset every gadget in the house! We had cell phones chiming the a/c kickin in and out, our TIVO box all lit up, the cat box going off!

Joel teased me this morning, told me it was me who loved gadgets! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] So I got no sympathy from him! lol [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
