Hello everyone. My name is Josh and I just found this site the other day. I'm fairly new to the sport of ATV's. I purchased my first quads a few months ago for my wife and I. We've pretty much only ridden at Tahuya. We did take a drive down to Sand Lake though. We had to try out the sand.

I just wanted to post and say hi. Maybe we can ride sometime with you guys/gals.
welcome

Josh, Welcome aboard. There is trips planned all the time in this group for the north and south ends. Sometimes we can all get together if the time is right. I noticed from your signature that you got a raptor 350. I must say that, that is a great quad to start out on. Good Choice!!

OFC, the guy that hit you did he have insurance?? That sucks big time. So what did he do cut out in front of you or what??

I have a question for you guys and i'm hoping one of you can answer it. When i pull my trailer i keep blowing a fuse and i'm not sure why. On saturday when i pulled it down to Capitol Forest everything worked, brake lights, turn signals, running lights. When i left there i didn't have any running lights, but everything else worked. When i got to Renton i forgot about it and went to a haunted house, when i should of went home because my running lights weren't working. When i left Renton at 10, i of course remembered. I pulled over on the on ramp and popped my hood and started pulling fuses for the trailer. The ones that i checked weren't blown but the one that i couldn't get to was blown. Yesterday i pulled it with some niddle nose pliers and sure enough it was blown. Acouple other people have borrowered my trailer and they have never said anything about fuses being blown so i'm assuming that its my truck. Is it getting blown because its to small of a amp? Right now it has a 15 amp in it, should i go up to 20? This is the second time this has happened too.

No insurance, No liscense. He was stopped at the intersection of Hwy 12 & albany. I seen the firetruck comming so i pull off the road about 75' shy of the intersection. Dude thought the firetruck was gonna hit him so he gunned it in reverse and smashed into me... he got ticket for wreckless Backing, No Insurance and driving without liscense. around 1500 bucks on the spot

I'm assuming you have uninsured motorist? If you do, make a deal with your insurance company to get your truck back from them if it is totaled. Your insurance company may then go after the other driver in a civil case. It may be totaled because the expense of having it shop fixed would cost more than 50% value of the truck. You could probably fix it yourself for ALOT less. We did this with my son's Bronco. It would have been about a $4,000.00 bill to have it fixed by a shop (totaled) and we fixed it for less than $1,500.00. Most front end damage is sheet metal and paint, plus lights & turn signals. If you have a friend who has a shop see if he will order your sheet metal at a reduced cost for you. Most all sheet metal is bolt on and easy to replace. If you have core support and inner fender well damage you can strip the truck down to that point and have a shop fix or replace the tack welded in core support and/or inner fender wells. I have done this more than once and it is quite easy to strip down the front of the Ranger pickup (no unibody construction).
Either do that or get your truck back and buy another Ranger with a worn out engine and swap them out.

I need some tire advice. I popped my left rear tire yesterday (about a 1 inch stick through the face of the tire). Apparently it cannot be fixed. Here are the options: a replacement tire is $83. I can get a full set of King Quad tires for $200, which includes mounting.

What I really want are ITP Mud Light AT, but am having trouble finding a dealer that can get them in and mounted by Friday. On line, a full set of costs about $230. So, theoretically for about $30 more I can get what I want. Does anyone know a dealer in the Puget Sound area that carries the ITPs in stock?
