Josh14, Shelton is a small little town where everyone knows everyone, right. I was wondering if you know one of my buddies down there, Warren Yeck. He is a freaky little redneck. His wife's name is Barbie and his daughter's is Tia. Do you know him??

Worth a shoot.
Ya, it's a pretty small town. But no, I don't know them.
I don't know very many people around there. I just moved there a few years ago.
Josh, I take it you know where Union is. My wife works at Mason County Medic One as a Para-Medic, my daughter works at the Shelton High School pool and part time at Medic one as an EMT. Now me, I don't work anymore. Used to work at Cushman Boats out in Potlatch. My wife has been riding for about a year now and fast is not her game either. So she can ride with the rest of us slow pokes. I did the go fast with the front runners and have decided to do the easy ride thing from now on. We will have to get together for a local ride sometime.

Nice to meet you Bear4570 ! My wife works at Mason General as a Surgical Technologist. I work @ home and in Tacoma doing Residential Design. We've been going to Tahuya to ride. Do you and your wife ever go riding there?

Sean, are you going riding with us on the 29th? Should be a good ride.
You too Josh14, we will be in your neck of the woods.
I haven't been riding there yet.

What are the conditions like?

What is the skill level needed?
Rock Candy is easy to medium to a little hard in some spots. My 14 year old daughter loves it there. As Momma said, there will always be someone on the back side of the trail to help anyone. I normally take the back because of my kids. The last time we went, Jenna(daughter) took off and left me in the dust,

Rock Candy is my favorite trails(behind Evans Creek) Nice long trails. If Happa is leading, be sure and pack snacks and water. And bring enough for him as well

He is always needing food.

It will be fun
Sounds like fun. I'll have to check and see if my wifes on call that weekend. I know she'll what to go. When it's gets closer I'll have to get some directions to where you all meet up.

We've ridden Tahuya, but neither one of us likes all the roots that stick out into the trails there. We prefer Capitol Forest, either Rock Candy or Waddell Creek, to Tahuya State Forest; better trails. Like riding out of the Fairgrounds better than either of the 2 Forests. Our second choice is along the 2400 Road out here near Union, which reachs over towards Mason Lake and from Belfair to Lake Limmrick. Of course we get hard core sometimes, have done the trails down near Randell at Blue Lake, some major beautiful up there. Have also done East Fort Rock/China Hat down in Oregon, SE of Bend. Fort Rock/China Hat has 110,000 acres with 318 miles of trails alone. Been 4 times and still haven't covered them all. We will have to get together and ride sometime.
