So, are you guys talkin bout studded or no-stud.
We are gonna run ICE BREAKER 100 stud class!
I just found this info on Sand lake duners. It is pretaining to the dunes. This is for the dunes from Florence south.
We will be implementing camping fees for sand camping beginning Jan 1 2006. Standard sites will be $10/night per site (5 vehicles and 20 people) Group sites will be $20/night (10 vehicles/40 people) We had planned to do this beginning last May, but were delayed due to changes in the national recreation fee legislation. The reasons for charging site fees; the costs of maintaining the sites (cleanup). signs and compliance. It should reduce the number of sites that are reserved and not used..we had over 10% last summer of no-shows. We believe that the costs divided among the campers is low ..most sites had at least 3 vehicles....so that would compute to less that $3.50 per night per vehicle, and for fully utilized sites $2.50 per night per vehicle.
The other news is that reservations will begin for next year November 17th.
Please let me know if you have further questions...Thanks

I am writing to you to see if you can help spread the word about
comments needed for the Burnt Hill trails system.
A relative of mine, Jay Oen, is on the Burnt Hill Focus group and trying
to receive as much support as he can for motorized-use trails in a new
DNR trail proposal near Sequim. Much like Reiter Trails, this is an area
that has been rode for over 30 years as an un-official riding area and
finally being designated as an official riding area. For people like Jay
and his family living near Sequim, they are losing most of the available
riding and do not have convenient access to public riding areas as you
can imagine and can not afford to lose this riding area. The DNR is
supportive of motorized use trails in the Burnt Hill system, but there
are many residents in newer housing developments opposing motorized use.
In brief, here is what is being proposed:
DNR is developing a plan for managing public use of trails on a
5,100-acre block of state trust lands, southwest of Sequim, Washington,
known as "Burnt Hill". The trust lands are managed as commercial
forestland. However, consistent with state multiple use law, DNR allows
recreational use of these lands. Approximately 520 acres of private
forestland are within or adjacent to the state lands in this planning
area. The planning area is surrounded by federal forestland, rural land,
and expanding urban lands.

Here is a link with an article about the trail system:

you can also find the DNR documentation and proposal here:

Comments need sent supporting the Burnt Hill Trail System and
designation of motorized use trails. Comments should be sent to
sepacenter@wadnr.gov, please include File No. 05-100402 in both the
subject and body of your email.
thanks,
Travis Redfield
