Good morning PSAR. I am officially out for this weekend's ride. I'll either be out stomping the woods to scare up deer my unsuccessful hunting buddies or at home with my sick family. Sorry, we'll have to catch up in November, maybe over Thanksgiving weekend?
Stan, I hear there is a group going to Tahuya the following week, Raptorchick and a camera crew. I think the HappaDance is in order!

From what i have read i am under the assumption that we need a laptop to take the maps off of pc's website and directly to the pc3 using a USB cord then to the quad. We do not have a laptop so how is this suppose to be done? Can you download the maps onto the pc3 (save it) then take it to the quad and insert it in that way? Just trying to figure out how this is suppose to be done.
9 volt adapter to power the pc3 in your house, download the goods, then to the race shop for the install on the mow chine. Ask justin if he recalls the 9 volt adapter

Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Long time no chat - Just poppin' in to see what the group is up to. I haven't been riding in over a month and was hoping I could sneek in on a local ride. I browsed the last few pages, but it looks like a Rock Candy trip on Saturday the 29th and a Tahuya ride the following Saturday? Sorry for not keeping up with the forum. I just felt bad because I wasn't able to make any of the big trips. I hope everyone had a great summer and nobody suffered any major injuries.

Not much has changed. I did get some seat time this summer. Most of it was down around Union on the powerline and gasline trails. Hopefully I can make one of the two rides these next couple weekends.

I think he left his cell at home, so i will ask him tonight. Thanks bill!!

Justin better not put to much mods on his raptor because it takes me a week just to get online at home. It will probably take another week to downloan the goods. LOL

Mike, how are you doing. It looks like there will be more people from our group at the Rock Candy ride. Breakfast @ 8:00am at the Place, Rock Candy 9:30am. Hope to see you there.

The 9V adapter works great for the initial map install. It's only takes about a minute on dial up to download the maps ava.
After the initial install when you add a mod and need to D/L a new map it becomes a pain in the azz without the lap top as you have to pull the plastic off and take the tank mounting bolts loose to get at the connectors to remove the PCIII plus you have one semi permanent connection to the throttle position sensor via a pinout so you would need to fashion a quick disconnect harness so you could pull the PCIII off to load new maps to it. You can manual adjust but it won't be a precise as a custom map. IMHO It would be much easier to order a cheap laptop from dell then you can just D/L a new map hook the lappy up with the USB cable and load the new map.
If that's not an option you could always drive up my way and I can load a new map for you off my laptop. It's sounds like he has already ordered all the ava mods that are out right now so it isn't like your going to need new maps all the time

Thanks for the info Randy. I'm hoping he won't get alot of mods. The only thing about that is, is his friend just got a used Banshee and he wants to beable to beat him in a race. You know how that talk goes. They haven't raced yet to see what the results are, but i'm pretty sure that after the 700 is "broke in" that it will be a close race. I guess we will just wait and see.

So you have to plug the PC3 in under the gas tank?? Justin and I were looking at the raptor last night and we thought it would be under the seat. I guess in our dreams huh ?! LOL

I will let Justin know about all of this tonight. Thanks again you two.

The PCIII control unit lives under the seat. It comes with velcro to hold it down. I keep it where the tool kit usually is stored.
The connections are made to the bat. the injector (Inline with the existing harness) and the throttle position sensor(semi permanent connection). You have to remove the front fenders, tank cover and the 4 fuel tank hold down bolts and prop the back of the tank up to access the harness connections to install the PCIII It takes about 45 min to an Hour to install your first time. When your unit shows up if you have any question's send me a PM and I'll do what I can to help. It comes with decent instructions
