so are you telling me the chain adjuster is a pain in the butt?? I have to tighten mine as i was looking at it yesterday. Have to find the book now to make sure i do it right. LOL
With the '03, there are 2 bolts off the rear of the carrier bearing out the back of the swingarm. You have to adjust your chain by tightening or loosening BOTH bolts AND make sure the axle is evenly lined up or you will be driving crooked. I am not so sure I have ever gotten it right. Maybe THAT'S why I crash so much... The '04/'05, they simplified the design to one bolt so you don't have to play the alignment game as much. Still not the greatest design, but hey, better than the '03. I am actually wondering if I could change that out, but then for what it would probably cost, I would be on my way to the price of a whole new +2 swingarm.

And I have the book if you don't. Lemme know if you need to borrow it

Thanks, I remember where you pointed out the powder coating place now. I will have to look them up.

Any thoughts on a gussett kit?

And just to pester further, what are your guys's thoughts on getting a 434(or something)kit vs. getting a new piston and having it bored out? Or is one just bolt on and the other more work? Outta my area of understanding. Thanks.

Depending on his schedule with the 41' Lincoln Hotrod, Doug might be able to take care of you for all of your gusset needs.

A bolt on bigbore is no big deal, it's just that. to order a piston kit, then wait for it, then send your new piston and jug to a machine shop, and wait for it. Pros and cons either way you choose to go. Cost will prolly iron itself out as well.

maggiesboy - Sounds like you know your stuff about quads. I was thinking of going with a new piston on my Raptor 350, but if things equal themselves out I might look into a bigbore for it. Do they offer more than one? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As i was over in Moses Lake, Justin was up at SPCB "looking" at quads. He came home with the new 700 Raptor. He also got a DMC pipe with the PC III which he will install after the break in is done. Of course its white, but he loves it. I rode it after i got home from Moses lake and that thing has some power for not even giving it full throttle. It looks like a very nice quad that will fit Justin perfect. I like how it feels too, It feels alot better than the 660R.
His intake items and PC3 were ordered for him, I don't want Happy drivin up here and kickin' my A$$$.
Then i shouldn't tell Happy when justin's pc3 will be in should i? LOL Well from what CB said!!!

I think on mine i have 4 bolts on top of the swingarm then one on the back of it. I do have a book i thought i left it on the tool box last time. Maybe the mouse just moved it. LOL Or its in my truck. I just have to look harder. If i don't i will let you know. Thanks!
