Out here in Maple Valley, the wind is usually pretty fierce. But not this time so far. I think its cuz the wind came from the south west instead of off the mountains. They are saying theres 140,000 without power and Tuesday is when they should be back online. Bummer. If power goes out here, No Problem. Generator is ready and I stocked up on aluminum foil to build an antenna if need be. Im thinking something along the lines of the panels that the international space station uses should pull in some sort of radio signal.

Rain Rain go away. I need to ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its been four months since the Raptor has even been off the trailer. Now thats a sin in my book. I should take it out and terrorize the neighborhood just to get a feel for riding again.

Im OUt

Originally posted by: Red400EXRod Keep posted when, we may be interested in a trip east (preferably Moses). I know what you're saying about Sand Lake. Camping is allowed in every parking lot. No real designated day use only area. The campground is also open year round ( according to the web site) they just don't take reservations in the winter. I'm sure it will be a zoo there that weekend. I would much rather drive the 2 hours further for the Florence dunes. Not enough variety at Sand Lake for me to make the trip worth it. JMO
We'll keep you posted, if the snow lets off, maybe in 3 or 4 weeks we can go to Moses

This is from Sandlakes Website:

Currently the Sandbeach campground is closed during the winter months because of flooding. West Winds, East Dunes, Derrick Road and the sand are open for business year round.

Sandbeach campground opens in March for camping.

Camping at Sandlake it very nice, spacious sites, it's a great place for somebody who doesn't ride very much, it's a nice easy ride to the beach and it's the closest southern riding area. I agree, it tends to be alittle rougher than the windy places and is not the best for jumping, but, I'll make a couple of trips there this summer
