I guess we just need to be a little more careful in our dealings.....
Don't want to get MB or anybody else in trouble.
Don't want to draw any more attention to ourselves than needed I guess.
Being the second (only to OFC's Post Ho Thread ) biggest Thread on here, we are kind of in the lime light and visited by many, I guess we need to be careful.
He||, I don't know..........

I know we'll have some pretty interesting replies to this topic

On this thread?

yup, I posted at 9:38 this morning that I would be at the local parts house today if anyone needed anything.........guess they (the forum management) doesn't want folks in the PSAR group to know that they CAN get some things away from internet sources
maggiesboy: Post count as marked 3239

I want you to hit the below link and for sure read forum rule number one and if you don't understand it, you let me know.

Yikes

I understand there are rules and we all need to respect them because this is a privately run site that depends on the sponsors.

But, below is a quoted portion of said Rule #1. I don't see where the above quoted post violates this rule. I guess you could say it's on the edge, but not over the line IMO.

Does this constitute "Commercial Advertising" ?????? Since no Company name, number, web address or link, is mentioned.
<u>"I would be at the local parts house today if anyone needed anything........."</u>
I guess if it does........We all need to be careful and not get MB in any trouble...

1.1 What are the forum rules?

No commercial Advertising. No posting of commercial web addresses, phone numbers or links in either forum messages, private forum messages or in the author's signature.
No use of company names in forum author nicknames or any type of solicitation for commercial business or gain.
Classified Ads are not permitted in the forums. Please use http://classifieds.atvconnection.com
Duplicate Messages--please don't post the same message more than once and in multiple forums.
Posting of messages using all capital letters is considered impolite and should be avoided.
Offensive author icons are not permitted.
No posting of copyrighted material.
Posts should be ATV related.
In my opinion, MB saying he will be at work isn't against any rules posted here. They need to rewrite their rules if they want that outlawed.

maggiesboy works for a dealer and it looks to me like he is selling parts through this forum and through the private message system.

I didn't make the rules but have no problem enforcing them when spotted.

What are some thoughts on Mud Tires on heavy Utility quads? Are they neccesary or do they just scream I have a small ***** look at me?

Saturday i went out and cut trees on the trails and picked up sticks so i could ride. I rode most of the day and couldn't really tell i was there besides the mulched leaves and a couple of my hard corners with burms. but no ruts or anything like that.. well Sunday rolls around and im out in capitol riding my horse on some game trails exploring and when i get back i hear quads so i rode back to investigate. agin there was some utilitys riding around on the trails that are left for the horses and parts of the track. and in half a day it looks like 5 years worth of riding my quad on there. I would like to see utility quads outfitted with flatter surface tires to not penitrate into the soil so much.

I have to agree with you, OFC. These jokers put on these oversized (making up for the size of something else?) tires with hugh lugs and proceed to run as hard as they can with them tearing up the turf. I still run the stock tires on both my machines and the few places I haven't been able to drive to, the winch got me there. A winch is cheaper than a set of those tires too and a lot more flexible. The big lugs wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have to be "Wide Open Throttle" with them, again probably making up for other short falls.

BING, you and Julie should come down to Florence in June. Did you ever get Rex a brother? I remember you mentioning it a while back.

I don't even know where to start on how irritated this little conversation is making me. I guess I should start trembling in the shadow of such unchecked discretionary power to censor what you don't agree with. Sad, Sad, Sad.

And it isn't about defending MB, although you are wrong for choosing to pick on him. He speaks very highly of this forum to people outside it and has referred people here often.
It's about my objection to a powertrip of a moderator.

Let's go ride ATV's.

P.S. It doesn't matter if you choose to censor me either, the hostile tone of the posts from the moderator speak volumes and others will see the same conclusion.
I am a moderator thats what I am suppose to look for and there is no power trip here. Hostile tone, LOL

If he is using this forum to sell parts its against the forum rules plain and simple.
