I agree 700s are really max for the 45-70. Used to be a guy in Wishram, Wa that had a garage based bullet casting business. I got a bunch of 850 Gr gas checked hollow points from him. Not much velocity but was fun to shoot them on a sunny day. You could stand beside the shooter and watch them arc out toward what was being shot at. Almost slow enough to pass shoot with a shotgun. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] Unfortunitly he went out of business, near fatal case of lead poisening. His girlfriends husband shot him.

I been trying to forget it for well over a year. The shrink expense is getting outrageous and the nighmares have the wife ready to use a hypo on me at night so I won't wake up screaming.
