I know what you mean, i just had to buy a nightstand gunsafe so i could keep all my handguns locked up. Had been keeping all in one but the shelf was getting a little overstressed. Got 10 rifles (some pretty interesting), 3 shotguns and 4 handguns.
My Grandfather, Dad and 4 uncles all hunted and fished a lot. I was the only grandson/son/nephew of the five boys and inherited a few nice items. My wife and kids have also fed my addiction over the years much to my amazement and glee.

I see you are going to be at the ride on the 8th. Be a good chance for us to compair notes on what we have and what we "need".

I'm glad I started lurking on this thread, sounds like you folks have a lot of fun on a regular basis.

Bear, I think i got some 500gr JSP loaded. Had some 700 cast leads (10 of em) that i bought on ebay from a guy in alaska. shot all those and don't plan on buying any more. too hardcore for me. I think the 500 mag shoot 400gr at around 16-1700fps. Not too shabby. also got a ruger p90 and a Llama 38 super for the neighborhood cats.
700s are for pain seekers, even in rifles. My normal load is a 405 gr LFN at 1600 fps. I shoot these for hunting out of my Contender Super 14. I have some 350 JRN for my Ruger #1 that leave the muzzle at about 2200 fps, but those hurt even in a rifle. I don't list my guns, but the wife has more than you do, if that gives you any idea.

IT WASN'T EASTON anyway might think about checking that out, see if Ron can take Fri. off so we can have a little spring break!!

OK, now let me see if I got this. One chainsaw, a shotgun, winch for salvaging saggin sporty types, a backpack to put deer parts in, one small pocket knife and a wrist brace for Bear. Right?

Got an old McCullough that the chain is sorrta good on yet, how about a double barrel Greener type in 10 gauge? Would that be OK? Winch on the Prairie is kinda weak but it, a couple of double blocks and a few hunnard feet of rope and she'll be good. Got a pocket knife that ain't too horrible dull so that's OK. But the backpack you'll have to bring yourself cause I ain't about to carry no hooved rat nowhere!
Bear gave up the wrist braces after his surgeries in 2004. I carry 2 nylon 20 foot tow straps and 225 feet of nylon climbing rope, plus a come along and 2 ****** blocks. I'm ready to pull their trucks out. I see no reason for a backpack (our deer aren't that small anyway) but my machine will carry me plus 300# of cargo, that should cover any game strikes (bullets of quads), maybe even a sportie rider or 2. Oh yeah, I carry Larry's favorite tree cutting hand saw too.

DMC's good, but I think for a 600ft dragrace, the LTE's will smoke the DMC, this is just opinion thought. Line RR27 and Justin up and we'll see, maybe Beverly or Moses for a day ride.
In a 600 foot race, I think it would be a 250 pirate quad.
I think I'd be willing to put a wager on that not working out to well for the 250R

Now 300 feet might be a different story.

Only one way to find out
