Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Hi Val,
Glad to hear you are doing better
I sure hope you heal up and get better quick

Good Luck

Hey Rod,

How are you liking your truck???
I think you have the gas motor though don't you????????

I'm so confused
I'm looking at both the Chevy and Ford 3/4 ton crewcabs, with the diesel motors.

There are things I like/dislike about both
Would like to get one this week, but not sure which one........

Anybody have any good/bad thoughts/experiences with either..............

Thanks a Bunch

Sean, I have a 1 ton with the V10. More power than I could ask for. I don't care too much for diesels that's why I went with the gas. Also, with the diesels having to meet federal emission standards they are no longer a 500,000 mile motor. That is the reason they have more horse power from a smaller CID. They have about the same mileage life span as a gas engine. This was told to me by a friend who is a diesel mechanic.
I know a lot of people are brand loyal on here, including me, but he told me he'd never own a Duramax.

Quad 4 Fun, I love my older Ford F-250 Super Duty with the 7.3 power stroke diesel but I'm not to fond of Fords new 6L diesel. If I was going out to buy a new truck today it would be the Duramax Chevy. My boss has one that I have hauled a 30 Ft goosneck trailer loaded to the gills with racecars, spares and a Mule that was a mobile pit cart
and it pulled like a champ for many many trouble free miles, I won't say here how much we weighed Best driving and pulling truck I've yet to drive. A Chev Duramax Diesel 3500 will be my next truck.

I pass the V-10's going up the big hills with my PSD pulling my 38 FT 5ver when there just pulling little dinky travel trailers and get 14 to 15 MPG while I'm doing it

How many gallons per mile do you get with that V-10 loaded 6- 8

And you pay more for diesel fuel than I do for regular gasoline!
Throw in that a new diesel is 5K more to begin with and I think it more than evens out!
With my V10 loaded headed down the hiway to Florence I get 8 - 10 MPG
