Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
I bought a Dodge turbo Cummins last month, and installed a 4" exhaust and K&N filter. It runs strong and pulls great. I can't even feel my Quads behind me. We went to beverly and I used 25 gal of fuel there and back. We did 70 mph over the pass with eaze.
I work for Extreme auto in Smokey Pt.. We install aftermarket performane parts. We do all the deisel upgrades cheaper than enyone else. 4" exhuast,Cold air intake, and an Edge attitude with monitor runs around $1500 and makes a deisel scream.

So where would I go to have the z400 put on a dyno so I don't have to go screaming mad trying to figure out the darn fool jetting on it? Any idea of the cost involved in doing that? It doesn't have to be perfect, but closer than it is now without 15 rejetting sessions would be nice. I would hate to damage my new motor for my lack of experience, but I don't have a ton of cash to dump on it either. Any help is appreciated.

Seems like you should be able to do some reading & ? asking on some other forums & maybe someone can get you closer than you are??? It's very frustrating I know I'd just keep pissing the neighbors off

DM, I agree, it does seem spendy going to the dyno to get your jetting dialed in but think of it this way, you spend all the money doing the mods on your quad and for another couple hundred bucks you can get the combination optimized and get your monies worth out of a tidy sum invested in mods plus pick up another 2- 4 HP, and know the A/F ratio is as close to spot on for your riding area as you can get as they use a wide band sensor for dialing the A/F ratio. As a bonus it takes the time and trouble and guess work out of riding , doing a plug reading, changing jets and repeating till you get close enough that you call it good. I haven't regreted for a minute taking my 700R to the dyno.
Hope you and Ron can make it to Easton, I'll bring the Crown and let Jayna mix your drinks
