Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

As Dirtmomma knows, a group from NW Quadriders (see link below) will be heading to Goldendale. I plan on being there both Saturday for the MX play day and Sunday for the race. Hope to see/meet some other "local" riders.

700,,,,I can kind of see where you are going with this. As dual said,,,the faster ones usually head first and the slower ones follow. It is meant to be an all inclusive (kids and all) event. (speed is not a concern)

Chad, I look forward to meeting you there. So many of us are looking forward to this event. This is the very start of good ATV events to come if we support this thing. Finally we may be able to do the things we read about in magazines on the East Coast.

This event gets me excited on so many planes! First, Ive been dying to ride on a fast and quad friendly track. Second, It's an event that is perfect for quads. It's fast, yet being a long GP, it's very much a controlled pace. Being smooth is rewarded. Third, I actually look forward to RIDING an event, not promoting one. Fourth, it's the first big quad event ever being set up in the region that isn't a motorcycle race afterthought. Fifth, I get to ride til' I'm dead tired, and hang out with you dopes for a whole weekend! Sixth, I believe our club is going to support our members in this event since it is such a pivotal ATV happening.

I may seem like I'm going overboard guy's, but believe me I'm not. So, don't anyone find the usual excuses to back out the week before the event. Start planning now, and make this a priority!

chad- good to see that we're getting the word out down there too, it'll be great getting this group together for a big happening. if you want a copy of the flyer, one of us can send it... maybe you can pass it around & post it at shops in your area?

i hear you yodaddy- i posted the 3 shops in issaquah today & have about 25 copies of the flyer still.

read on the flyer.... outdoor quad videos saturday night, bring a chair & a friend... starts ~9PM? get pumped for the race

I've got the flyer, and I'm going to make some copies at work tomorrow. I think the local shops will be glad to have a copy. I'm hoping for a good turnout from my club, and barring any mechanical problems, I will try and make the poker run that next weekend. I got some of you Northern boys down to our Rock N Roll poker Run a couple years ago, so it's time to hit my old stomping grounds at Tahuya again. I haven't ridden there since my old Warrior was the biggest 4-stroke quad.

As far as thinking the Raptors are the king in the Poker Runs, that's not so much the case. It's all about the rider, and their comfort level going high speeds on tight trails. At this last poker run at Jones Creek, I was in the front of the pack for the entire ride followed somewhat closely behind by my friend on a 686 Raptor, and my Dad (who is 54) on a 500 4x4 Scrambler. In the woods, it's all about the rider. At this event in Goldendale, It's going to be all about top speed. Bump up your front sprocket (if that's an option), set your steering dampner on it's highest setting and hang on!!!

Does anyone know if spark arrestors are mandatory??? I was thinking about running without mine to open things up a bit. It's amazing how much it helps to get rid of that little bugger.
